the only negative i can find on electric timber trucks is that i grew up spending a loot of time with my dad in his truck, and i love the smell of timber and diesel XD

With the right charging network, fully electric would work just fine. DC fast charging equipment is not readily available, but if there was some way that you could work out how to get your hands on several dozen DC fast chargers from Tesla, version four, and put them at the Mills and other strategic locations, it would work out just fine. Remember the batteries in the Tesla semi truck are pretty close to one megawatt and the charging rate for the semi truck is also quite high.

Thinking of this truck tactically on a modern battle field. The capability to drive in heavy loads completely silently is amazing! Think you could role in at night with blackout lights on and nobody would see or hear you coming giving the element of surprise. That's truly amazing!

Cool that you are getting to build a logging truck. However, this has to be great for Tolko to get a custom built truck as well. Your point about the Diesel-electric markedly reducing fuel costs to allow mills to stay in operation longer is very telling. It's neat when your basic new idea for a truck has so many ancillary benefits. All the best.

Would electric trucks be able to add drive axles to the trailers to aide in traction? Would there be an advantage to it?

I'll say it once again. You should ask the creators of the game "RoadCraft" if they'd put your truck in their game.

Its weird to see these ancient things used for work. A modern euro log truck would probably do the work of quite a few of these museum things😄 they just load such small amunts of logs

So up fitter ready is actually going to be up fitter ready!Significant fuel savings, less moving parts, Right to Repair and a silent mode! Next best thing would be autodrive and the driver’s seat slid way back.

Seeing the weather conditions it’s going to be used in, there are some questions… Is it going to be all wheel drive? How heavy is the truck going to be? What capacities will it have? Capacity of load Capacity of power in the battery (Ah) Capacity of range with just the battery (if everything pulls maximum power, so the minimum range) Capacity of range with battery and generator (if everything pulls maximum power) I love the design of your trucks. They look powerful, strong, massive and built to last. If I ever have the chance to drive one of your trucks, I hope it’s going to be this one…

This'll be fun to watch, end to end. Do you have any idea how much extra energy (beyond battery capacity) you'll have coming down loaded? Is extra battery capacity going to be required for this, or will there be the "jake brake" as you suggested through th generator/engine? Thanks! Looks great

Well if Kim is serious about a back country rig... Service or more... Will take us cash and help Edison with that back burner he is talking about. The more cash inflow the more gets built... Is that not the current business moto?
