Just a tip around the on board memory, I use this mouse for a lot of editing work at different companies so installing G-Hub isn't an option. If you program all your buttons with Logitech Gaming Software instead of G-Hub you can make the macros much more complex. I would never edit with a normal mouse ever again, bought two of them 5 years ago but looking at the prices now they've skyrocketed...

@@CreativeVideoTips My only request/suggestion for future content would be some kind of tiered/leveled series on keyboard shortcuts that has a clear progression from basics to advanced. For example, level one would be using jkl to shuttle (I've been using resolve for a while and didn't know about that basic function), and several other functions, like middle click for copying grades. Level two would be... idk. You get the idea. That would help intermediates like me feel like we're not missing any of the fundamentals as we learn about more of the advanced shortcuts like you've described in this video.

@@YoelDiamante I don't like it as much as my old g700s which it replaced. Functionality wise I really like it. Ergonomics, especially on mice, are very individualized. While I don't hate the ergonomics on the 604, it is not built for someone with larger hands like mine. Would probably be excellent for someone with average sized hands. If you are able to find someone that has a mouse you are interested in to see how it fits your hand that can be a good way to make the right choice for you. Otherwise it is trial and error.

I have used 2 naga's in the past and they are essentially the same as this one. I wouldn't have switched except I'm a mac user and razer doesn't support macs anymore. But yes, the logitech can detect the app being used and change button profiles based on the app.

Not that proficient in Davinci Resolve to know which keyboard shortcuts I'll use most yet so haven't got round to using it in Resolve. Guess I'll also have to hunt out the G13 keypad (3 banks of 22 keys plus joystick & 2 thumb buttons for the left hand) and the G15/G510 macro keyboard (full sized keyboards with an additional 3 banks of 18 macrokeys) to have the full ensemble (and a total of 200+ programable keys per application). What about doing macros for Davinci Resolve? Not mouse macros
@CreativeVideoTips3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dexter, this is something that interests me for sure - I just personally have no experience with that. Do you have any resources of this put to good use that you could share?

You could dl a macro app like power tools and map a button to that macro.

very interesting video! Thanks! is it possible to program "Mouse clicks at a special position" too in a macro with this mousesoftware?? Sometimes for functions there is no shortcut, only a mouseclick can help then. A tool that is able to program mouseclicks is a software called "BOME -Midi translator pro" that is actually for midi stuff, but you can use it for everything. Maybe it is interesting for you too. A very powerful tool. Sometimes very helpful. And you can adjust things also very quickly, when you want to change something. Runs beside your editing or audio software. Some macro things are easy, other stuff, that contains scripts is more difficult. There are a lot of tutorial videos too. i really like it, and beside macros i could transfer the Lighting Software MA Dot2onPC Screenbuttons to an novation launchpad mini Mk2, imitating all mouseclicks at the screen and recall them at the launchpad. Sure, when using mouseclicks, the Window-size and Screen-Resolution does not have to change, even Taskbar needs to be same position (always on or always of) like, when programming the mouseclicks. But basically it is good to have these function! I just used it to create "Timelapse clips" editing with Grass Valley Edius. After playing a Clip, i want to set a cut and then the beginning of this Clip should be set to a 1000% Timelapse, then the gap, that's now created, should be deleted (after the beginning of this Clip was shortened cause of Timelapse, there is a gap to the end of this clip), then go to start of this Timelapse Clip so then i can playback and see how the Timelapse looks. This is a macro with 10 steps, including one mouseclick: 1.) mouse click select Video Track 1 (The Shortcut for selecting Tracks would also deselect a track, if it's already selected. A Mouseclick only selects!) 2.) "C" for Cut 3.) "A" for setting timeline cursor to previous Clip 4.) "/" Edius Shortcut for select Clip at Cursor 5.) Edius Shortcut "Alt+E" for open Clip Speed dialog 6.) Text Input "1000" (=Speed 1000%) 7.) Key "Enter" to confirm Speed dialog 8.) Edius Shortcut "S" to jump to end of this shortend clip, also the start of the gap, that now appeared 9.) Edius Shortcut "*" to delete gap 10.) Edius Shortcut "A" go to start of previous Clip. drive.google.com/file/d/15H-tRMiUx09Wyzf9SWEVMBfjBxNt0OhF/view?usp=sharing (in my video the first step, mouseclick to select Videotrack, is missing) . Very important is, that in BOME i could set delays in milliseconds, before every single macro step is done. I had to try with different delay times. Without delays, or with wrong delay times, some steps don't get done. Not sure, if you can set delays in the "Mouse-Software" too, when making macros there. www.bome.com/shop/bome-midi-translator-pro

G Hub software is a nightmare. I've had it delete my profiles. And the UI is like having identical triplets expect you to know their names, at your own peril. It's awful.

I returned my G600 after buying it .... The software is unbearable...it's so useless ... what shoulds be as basic as "when I press this .. Make it instead do this " is not logitechs way.. its a f&&*()@ nightmare using this mouse... I suggest the Red Dragon MMO mouse.. software actually makes sense Ill never support LG again
