​@@kennynoNope there are countless textual evidences which show the validity of Joseph Smith's work. For example, the inclusion of Nahom and the Land Bountiful in the journey of Lehi and his Family. Or the "lucky guess" of the name of Enoch's associate Mahijah. Or, the exact method of human sacrifice in ancient history being used against Abinadi, etc. All of which Joseph couldn't have guessed. However, none of this evidence will ever compare to the experience one can have when applying the Gospel to their lives as taught through Joseph Smith and his successors, and seeing their faith and relationship in Christ deepen over time.

Yes, Constantine and his selected priests argued about this with other priests and then decided trinity doctrine, exiled the priests that didn't believe in it and then changed or edited the bible to reflect their own personal views which are not revelation from God, therefore defiling the sacred words of the bible to ensnare and chain millions of people to worship a god that does not exist, a god that Satan created to be worshipped.

Another Thought I had is John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." So a trinitarian logical interpretation of this would be :the only way to The Father would be through The Father? I mean if Jesus Christ is The only begotten son, the way , the truth and the life then sure none of those parts are contradictory. However he can not be The Son and The Father. We can not go through Jesus to get to The Father if Jesus is The Father because it would be the same as going through The Father to get to The Father. I use to be a trinitarian as a former trinitarian The Book of Mormon and modern day prophets have made The Bible make so much more sense. I do not make my comments out of hate for trinitarians I love them but we must help them if they will accept the help. The Book of Mormon is like prescription glasses for The Bible. It will help to make things so much clearer.

I am a layman, and in my forty plus years of in depth scripture study I have found the NIV Bible I have from 1985 is the best or closest to the Greek, so much clearer than KJV. And this is exactly how it is translated in this edition of the NIV. That said the passage is setting the stage for 5:11 “ and this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” that’s pretty simple cause and effect, also reference Alma 33 those with hearts reject Him to their peril. My 2cents…🙏

@@kennynoNope That is exactly what trinitarian means. It means that Jesus Christ Heavenly Father and The Holy Ghost are one entity. That is in fact what trinitarians believe and is in their core doctrine. This doctrine was adopted in 325 AD by The Catholic Church at The Council of Nicaea. There are people however that use the term trinity to mean three personages with one common goal. That is not however what the word means nor what trinitarian means. Most Protestant and Catholic faiths adhere to trinitarism as a doctrine. I was raised as both Catholic and Baptist. I went to Catechism and I lived with Baptist minister for 4 years. The Nicaea Council was not a council of priesthood power and authority but one commanded by Constantine to settle religious debate and establish a singular doctrine. It was by his order and not done according to God's will. Men decided things in that council that they did not have authority to decide. Further they then ratified much of what was decided that day in 431 AD. Both versions of the creed contain the words "consubstantial with the Father;" meaning of the same substance as in the same being.

It is all based on your interpretation of scripture. One may be only three letters, but you can interpret it in many ways. Thank you for sharing and bringing up how the Bible can be misinterpreted. It only solidifies our Article of Faith. We believe the Bible to be the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly.

This manuscript dates to the early 16th century, not the 5th century as you erroneously suggest. The Comma Johanneum is a short clause found in some Latin and Greek manuscripts of the First Epistle of John, which explicitly mentions the Trinity: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." The Codex Montfortianus is significant because it was one of the sources used by Erasmus in his third edition of the Greek New Testament (1522), which included this clause after initially omitting it in his first two editions due to its absence in the earlier Greek manuscripts available to him. You’re not uncovering some conspiracy from Constantine. The doctrine of the Trinity is not defended using a single verse, but is inferred when one takes all of Scripture in context. I’d be happy to debate the doctrine of the Trinity with you from Scripture and the hundreds of brilliant theologians throughout church history who have guarded the faith against heresy, including the heresy of Joseph Smith.

When God said in Genesis 1:26 “Let _us_ make man in our image, after _our_ likeness,” he was talking to his firstborn Son, Jesus. According to Colossians 1:16, God created all things through Jesus. “By him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him.” (ESV)

this “interpolation” happened all the time and more often that opinionated interpretation has been mixed in with authentic original CONTENT (true word of GOD). Here is a very modern day example: “…stripling warriors…” from the book of mormon. There is no such a thing and yet stake presidents, Bishops, and ‘common’- lowly folk are citing “false” scripture pass-down-quotes and interpretations given mistakenly by prophets and apostles etc and relied on as if it was truth. The difference between a warrior and a son or soldier is significant that the intended “young innocent son” demeanor of these faithful 2065 children who supported the defense war from the Lamanite attacks, is completely misconstrued by 180 degrees. They were not killer-battle-tested and war-slaughter proven children. And that’s the point the author wanted to make; yet somehow someone thought that it is no big deal calling them warriors because it maybe sounds more action-hollywood movie attention grabbing. No real malice or open evil intentions…, but it is was wrong and nowadays it seems a bigger offensive type battle to argue with bishop stake president or worse, a higher-up General Authority over the issue- It’s a fallacy big enough to change potentially doctrine over time. We just need our own personal revelation of truth to be able to detect misinformation and blatant lies intent to deceive us little by little. Today a little mistake may not seem much or serious enough, but over time, like 5000 years or so, you just really need to throw almost the whole bath out the window with the baby in it.

God speaks through prophets. Prophets usually record these words, hence why we have the Bible. But that’s the same way that we got the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and we have a living prophet on the earth today who teaches us God’s will.
