Draisaitl being minus 2? he wasn't on the ice for 4 goals power play doesn't count towards +/- and both his goals were on the power play. So he scored two and he was on for two even strength goals by Chicago.

Yes he scored the two Edmonton goals which means he was on the ice for four goals but two were for Edmonton so he had a good game compared to the rest of the team.

Koskinen is absolutely NOT the problem - I have seen him several times in Europe and am convinced he is at least as good as the contract he got suggests he is. With no much character in the locker room Superman could not stop more pucks from going into the net

ulrich - like most goalies, needs a defence to help out. the defence needs help from forwards who back check. pretty simple. put vasalevsky or bobrovsky on this team for 2 weeks, and their stats would look like they're the worst goalies in the league. i play goal, i've watched koskinen. he's a decent goalie, just give him some help...

I also think the goalie management in some of the NHL teams is not the best and some coaches are letting their goalies hanging out to dry - just look what Randy Carlyle (Anaheim) did to his goalie (John Gibson) in the Jets game last Saturday - giving him 6 goals on 14 shots! Well, this will definitely cheer Gibson up and make his self confidence go through the roof!

It’s literally a team of third/fourth liners with three top six forwards. Nurse and Klefbom are the blue line. I’ve always said the biggest difference is the goaltending however. Look at Talbot in 2017, he was amazing. Now they don’t have goaltending and look where they are...

This conversation is so ridicoulus. They compare two completely different players. 1st: Draisaitl is maybe one of the Top20 forwards in the league. McDavid is probably the best player in the world. 2nd: Neither is producing equally without the other. They both rely on each others skill. 3rd: Their style of play is much different. Look how many goals McDavid has only because of his mindblowing speed, he outpaces opponents to get high-scoring chances which he mostly generates by himself. Draisaitl is slower but has the ability to give quality passes out of close coverage or through traffic. But who should he pass to?? Lucic? Rieder? Draisaitl relies much more on viable linemates than McDavid does. Additionaly: look at the Hawks Caggiuala goal...three guys let him wait for the pass in the most dangerous scoring area and neither feels the urgency to cover him...they don't have goaltending, no defense and no secondary scoring...they are just one world-class player away from rock bottom of the league, so pathetic to say they have the pieces in the locker room
