He is a great add because he's gonna be hungry for playoffs and winning a cup so he'll play any role by the end of hte season and has the ability to prob score 30 quite easily still playing with our big boys. At worst he's only a 3M contract we could unload at the deadline if the fit wasn't there. This is an awesome bet for us.

I can’t believe they got him for $3M. He’s easily better than any 2nd line player. He’s so quick on the turn. 3 steps and he’s gone…he handles the puck like it’s weightless and wait until you see his slapshot. It doesn’t come at the goalie hard and low… he has such a fast release it almost looks like it’s not coming off his stick… upper corner, upper post. I think he would be deadly on the 1st line but after a 57 goal season by you know who, he deserves a 1st line spot.

Consistent 40-50 point scorer on a terrible team for 3mil on a one year contract is an absolute steal. So what if he doesn’t have playoff experience, literally the entire Oiler’s team has Stanley Cup Final experience now. If anything I’d guess Jeff is hungry for a playoff run. And if he doesn’t work out, oh well, it’s only a one year contract.
