Absolutely the most difficult aspect of producing starting out is learning how to put the ideas in your head down on paper so to speak. All the rest of it is learning the shortcut so it doesn’t take you eight months to do it lol

I started off with production 24 years ago on reason and FL, then went on to logic, then protools, I've been using ableton now since 2003 and in my opinion it is the best, due to its user friendly layout, and simplicity.

you know , the other day I saw a video and you said only 2 percent of people will get signed.. I get your selling an idea but for most of us making music is super stressful and the small idea of making helps keep going along with the love of making it.its like the lotto but when your told that statistically its a huge downer and im not gana lie its all ive been thinking about lately.. its all good I know you have to make content but damn I feel like that was a harsh way of putting it. I won't be let down because ive only been back at it less than a year and have a lot of years of music theory and playing in bands under my belt so I just love playing music. but ice imagine a very fresh beginner would hear that and be like well how the hell will I ever make anything worth a damn. those odds are soooo low.. just had to say that ,,needed to get that off my chest

Interesting idea, I will add it to my ideas list :) Any particular artists or tracks you're digging in the mash of genres at the moment?
@ArtursDerkintis2 жыл бұрын
@EDM Tips first of all thanks for responding! I've been long time fan of Alan Walker's work in edm world and Hans Zimmer's work in cinematic world... Time remix was epic. Needless to say my inspired creations fall very short from that :) The main struggle I got is making a great track people (myself including) would come back to without vocals. I find myself lost in learning process as many tutorials/guides rely heavily on "let's create bass/riff/drums and then bring in our beautiful vocals that end up being the focus of the song". But for beginner it is difficult to find great vocals as I don't fancy creating 10002nd version of the same splice vocal nor am I good enough of a producer to waste any good vocalists time. So I am left with instrumental music which seems to require extra mile in every aspect for listener to care to come back and I'm not sure how to walk that mile. Maybe could be a separate subject for you to explore in future? Either way your videos is what's keeping me out of dark - great work!!!
