So you can’t directly compare it’s “greatness” to say, a BMW M3. Why? Because the M3 is a much greater car than the Civic. But then the argument comes back to price and how the Civic is a great car FOR it’s price.

So, having a lower score and no big changes to 2025, how come the Toyota is Edmunds' Top Rated SUV while the Kia (with a higher score) is not even a "highly recommended" !?!?!?

Seeing the KIA here is hilarious in hindsight after hearing how bad the dealerships and brand has been with its customers. Also, the Tesla being on this list is insane.... you have to menu hop to get anything done in the car... you play with the stupid screen more than drive the damn car. For the Tesla Model 3 I guess you don’t mind menu diving to change the windshield wiper speeds or to change gears. I guess you also don’t mind fumbling for the turn signals while you turn the steering wheel. I suppose you also don’t mind the lack of Android Auto or CarPlay. You probably don’t care about phantom braking either or the poor return to speed times for the cruise control.

@davidarreola198512 күн бұрын
I don’t think the lack of CarPlay or Android auto is an issue at all. The car’s system is great and I do not miss it. I’ve never had phantom braking, so it might be worth it to take it to the dealership to check if there’s something wrong with the sensors on yours. The driving through the menu for the wipers, is as easy as pressing the dedicated button at the steering wheel and scrolling the left wheel to adjust the speed, so it is not as complicated as you make it seem. The turn signals are easy to get used up after a little while too. Just because some things in the Model 3 are different from other cars, doesn’t mean it’s bad. The car’s great improvements over the previous model are what earned it its recognition.
@tonepilot11 күн бұрын
@ wait. You can scroll through the wiper speeds with the scroll wheel? We made an appointment for the phantom braking and the fact the wipers keep coming on by themselves. Tesla canceled the appointment saying there’s no solution. Yeah, not having CarPlay isn’t the end of the world but everything adds up to a more stressful driving experience than it needs to be. I do admit the Tesla excels on long road trips due to its easy navigation and charging. We didn’t have any phantom braking problems until Musk killed the radar in our car with an update. It was so bad we had to file a report with the federal transportation department.

Wake me up on EVs when solid state batteries arrive. Lithium batteries, the drawbacks and the propsensity to out fire the Ford Pinto (at least it needed to get rear-ended) just sitting still, no thanks. Add in still pathetic charging network and the near 50% out of order charging stations, its all kind of a joke at this point. The greenies/wokies pushed EVs too hard, too fast and they're not ready for prime time and may not be for another 5+ years. It's actually humorous watching dumb companies that jumped over to EV to get the government handout ($7500 credit), have dealer lots full of EVs they can't sell. I hope some go bankrupt. That government is freely handing out our coercibly taken tax dollars over to manufacturers that in turn our price gouging us really pisses me off. I hate the government and the companies milking us dry. Kudos to those companies that held off EV plunge and went hybrid. Even more kudos to those that managed to keep V-6 engines. Solid state battery tech intrigues me and I'll hop on board once that makes it way into a proven vehicle (year 2 of production for me). My next vehicle an ICE and hoping V-6 will make a comeback as I don't want any tiny 4cylinder engines, especially not anything turbo'd, as it would be lucky to last past the warranty.

No true car person would ever give this brand the time of day, let alone go anywhere near suggesting someone should buy one. These cars are liabilities. They are a financial mistake. They are a burden on the person who buys them. These brands have been disgusting since they came to America and somehow continuously rebrand themselves right into people's driveways due to the cheap price and the stupid warranty but what does that do for you when it's stolen or when it's out of warranty or when that warranty is void because you didn't follow the rules. Now you have a run-down, unreliable, and hideously cheap car that is worth 10% of what you bought it for and you'll never get out of it because you and the rest of America are going to be in negative equity for the rest of time and it's because of shit brands and shit vehicles like this, let's be really clear about that. If you buy one of these you're an NPC, it's a simple as that.
