i just ordered it and im really excited to be able to play the whole range of normal hi hat using vst and a hi hat kit from lemon. makes a whole lot of difference on my alesis surge kit which have open and closed sounds only.

Hi. I'm really interested in the eDRUMin, but I do have a question: Is it possible to effectively create Positional Sensing even if your module is incapable of doing so using Edge Sense? . [Longer version of the question] Is it possible to apply all three 'zones' of Edge Sense onto the head (and then assign different instruments to each of those zones), while keeping the rim as is? I don't think the idea has been discussed (or if the mechanics behind the technology have been fully explained), so it would be crazy if we could use this module to achieve something along the lines of a 3-area Positional Sense, while still keeping the rim/rimshot intact.

Great product. will definitely buy if it becomes available again. Do you know if magnatrack triggers are suitable for the eDRUMin10?

Awesome! Just discovered the device and think it’s amazing. I’ll be using only VST’s for my conversion kit but ended up getting a roland td-12 module and midi interface. This would be a much lighter solution. Have you successfully shipped to China before? That is where I’m currently based. Thanks!

Hi Roman. I'm based in Taiwan. I don't get many orders from China, but expect shipping to take about a month and 20% import duties.

I am planning to do the exact same thing. What MIDI note numbers did you use for each of the eDrumIns?
@yeahtuna4 жыл бұрын
Not sure. I just use the built in SD3 drum map without even thinking about the note numbers.
@greasybumpkin16614 жыл бұрын
On SD3 you can customise the note mapping
@droopydoc554 жыл бұрын
When you use the built in SD3 drum map, what MIDI Device do you select in the Audio/MIDI settings window of SD3?
@yeahtuna4 жыл бұрын
I would select all 3 eDRUMin modules of course. However in this case the SD3 was loaded in Ableton Live. So I just set the input to 'All MIDI Devices'.
@dougmcpherson20454 жыл бұрын
Sounds great. How did you integrate the hihat? I.e. midi cc etc?
@yeahtuna4 жыл бұрын
Nothing special. The hihat (Roland VH-10) plugs into the back of the eDRUMin which sends out CC4 to Superior Drummer.

Can the module work without being connected to a computer to pilot a hardware sampler via midi ?
@yeahtuna3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be powered by a BOSS style 9v adapter (not included) or USB charger, and then connect the sampler to the MIDI Out DIN or USB host port (if the sample has a USB connector).

I have the TD-25KV + eDrumIn Red with 4 ports wherein I attached 1 CY-5 as splash and 1 CY-12C as additional crash. I am not able to make this work with Logic Pro X smoothly (too much scripting and sampling needed) and EZD2 because the notes are getting forwarded to other notes automatically which eventually messes everything up (i dont know why). But If you say this setup works in SD3 with all the cymbals and chokes then i will be happy to buy SD3. Hoping for your confirmation please please please!!! I have suffered enough 😭😭😭
@yeahtuna3 жыл бұрын
It should work fine with Logic. You need to keep in mind that most drum VST/AUs are very processor intensive, especially when you are trying to keep the latency as low as possible. If you are trying to record drum tracks, you should be doing it over a mixdown and not a projects that has 20+ tracks with effects.

@@yeahtuna hi thanks for the response! yes i am only recording normally my drumkit using the stock samples plus the song. But since i added 2 new cymbals to my TD-25KV using eDrumIn, in logic i had to record new cymbal sound samples (or download) but the notes mapping is a bit tricky. I cant really make them work nicely (with the chokes too) using the logic sampler + scripting. Would you be able to help me with this? It would be nice to avoid that SD3 as it is very expensive hahaha

@@jumar.anonuevo You're trying to use the sounds on the TD-25? That might be tricky. This is not the place to do technical support. Contact me via technical support or my users forms and I'll help you that way.

@@yeahtuna Hi, no and yes, i will use the stock samples in Logic Pro X, but since it does not support extra triggers in the stock kit, for example the SoCal kit in logic, i had to download (or make my own sounds) for the extra splash and extra crash. I already done it in the Logic Sampler, but it is buggy. Sure i will send a request in audiofront support link thank you!

hi how about the lattency? does it have the same lattency as a drum module? thanks
@yeahtuna3 жыл бұрын
The eDRUMin itself has an extremely low latency, but latency is a complex beast. I'll refer you to this forum thread for more information. www.audiofront.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=485&p=1941&hilit=latency#p1941

@@yeahtuna thanks for the answer, is there any difference in latency if i use the eDRMin compared to the td-30 module triggering SD3 ? The td-30 has extremely low latency too

@@vazer71 The latency should about the same or lower, as eDRUMin doesn't need time to process audio.

@@yeahtuna it would be nice to have a 32 gig M1 chip MacBook, but I can't afford 3>4000$ laptop right now. That's I was hoping i could still get a good latency playing situation with this 2 gig quad i5 with 16 gigs ram.
