Some riders got lucky, receiving a new KYT helmet, Hercules Rain suit and even shoes.
But one rider had his motorcycle impounded for operating as an illegal motorcycle taxi (habal-habal)
Over the years, many riders have pleaded with the government to legalize motorcycle taxis. And eventually that became a reality with Angkas, JoyRide and MoveIt.
Let’s respect those riders who went through the right process.
They got their NBI clearance, professional driver’s license, and they proved their knowledge and ability to drive through various seminars, tests and exams.
Legal motorcycle taxis also provide insurance for the passenger and the fares are regulated by the Government to keep things fair for everyone.
