yo guys this is an aaron desner+ max martin production. This song represents how grief follows you around( i.e : the blue monster). Also in the end looks up at the monster since he wants to deal with the grief. Also please wait for the whole album Subtract , this is the only pop tune in there , others are string and acoustic guitar instrumental landscaped by dessner himself. If you guys have listened to evermore+folklore by taylor you can expect the same production in the album. Also side note subtract is a visual album that is why there's a roman numeral 3 in the beginning coz its the third song in the record. There will be 14 music videos with connected storylines. This is prolly the most creative headspace ed has been in.
