Ahh a video from Var, what a good day, watch some candidates matches, and after that listen to a lecture from Var. I live in Hawaii so its not very reasonable to try to go to St Louis for lectures, so as you can probably tell i really appreciate the time all of you guys take to make these videos.

I love GM Akobian's style of presentation. In addition to being a very strong player, he is also a very strong communicator.

#newtochess #addictedtoakobian. At 22:05, instead of pawn g4 and taking the night on h5, why not use white night on e2 to g3?

I think I see why there is one dislike; covering the game twice was a little repetitive. Still, a beautiful game and also nice endgame lesson by Akobian!
@theomniscientogoftheintern88896 жыл бұрын
I don't see why covering a game twice deserves a dislike, just don't watch other half lol. Also hes doing a lecture and its better for the class to help the build up a memory of the moves.

9 :48 white goes for long castle,,, how its possible because rook are there in b2
@aisosaefemwonkieke22796 жыл бұрын
At 35:23 Rf7?? is a blunder since you can simply end the game with Rd8#. Regardless of this little hiccup, the explanation of the idea remains spectacular.
@chessandmathguy6 жыл бұрын
yeah he missed that.
@Laks4Ever6 жыл бұрын
He does mention the Rd8#... at 35:20! He is trying to illustrate how to fix the structure 34:15 keeping blacks king in the box! Not the quickest mate... No matter what calling it a blunder is maybe a bit harsh:-) either move is still winning!? Really enjoy his lectures as well!

2:59: you get a pawn, a knight and a rook for a queen, not that terrible after all.

Not many explanations this time, and a few too many blunders, so like he didn`t give a shit the lecture.
