PS: if possible, I want to apply for SBI or PNB only. It has been told to me that the banks take into account GRE scores and parents income on deciding interest rate. Is it true? I am worried in the sense that my GRE is 317 and my parents income is not that much. My father has agriculture work. And, also I don't think farmers have any tax returns. Can they take agriculture land as collateral? Please help.

Babita Garg No bank usually cares about your Gre scores but your university is considered. Your fathers income will be a problem if he is not showing required income to repay the loan. Don't worry if your father's credit history is good and has a good cibil score. An agricultural land is a perfect collateral and no need to worry about it, but bear in mind that the property is valued at government rates and not the market rates. Apart from that you should also check out if your state government is providing any special benefits for studying abroad. Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu have one I don't know about the others.

I will give you overview then i will ask my question. I had 66% in class 10 and then 57% in science stream in class 12 and now completed diploma in ME and got 8.5CGPA and now passed entrance exam for BTECH ME (classes will start soon) Suppose, i score 9 CGPA in BTECH and i get a job in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and work there for 5+ years (my childhood dream job + to gather money for my masters in germany) and then apply for masters in germany. Will my class 10 and 12 score (low score) will matter i.e. will it hamper my admission into public university even if i get very good marks in GRE, TOEFL, good LOR, etc. ? Please reply, i searched this query everywhere but some says class 10, 12 marks matter and some says only BTECH marks matter... Please help me out as i am trying to plan my future.
