Thanks a lot for the upload, really beautiful playing! In case any of the involved musicians read this: what was the reason for the decision to have all Violins play the first four measures (although it is written for second Violins only)? You play it so soft, that it sounds wonderful, but the soloistic timbre that ( I guess ) Grieg had in mind isn't there anymore. Is the decision because of intonation? or timbre? Or something completely different?
