Joker was definitely one of the best graphic novels out there. It's probably not the first time that a comic book has introduced villain's perspective of the world but, Joker was very realistic and grounded, important for the universe also.

Personally I didn't like the ending to Damned, the wording of "I wish he were still alive" just feels really contrived and out of character to justify the ending, I don't care much they bait their dynamic as romantic, if the Joker died of a prostate cancer Bats would sleep easy for the first time in his life. I think he would've worked better if he said something to the effect of "I wish I didn't do it", reframing Batman's guilt as directed to breaking his code rather than the worst person since Hitler dying in his vicinity.

13:02 Edward misrepresented one of Batman's most badass scenes. Joker was accusing Batman of being vain, because he leaves his jawline exposed even though it would be more practical to cover it with bulletproof armor like the rest of his cowl. Then Batman drops down and casually reveals the real reason he exposes his mouth is to mock pathetic criminal scum like Joker, which triggers Mr.J so much he kills his own right-hand man.

@vanillabatcave56779 ай бұрын
@@AsadKhan-ic9qi It's part of his character there since Bruce is sexually stunted due to never developing emotionally beyond that night in the alley, Batman basically crippled his natural sexual development and that is why the Joker groped him (and sexually taunts him during the whole story). Batman didn't break Joker's arm or anything else like one would expect because he could only be disgusted by that act of sexual violence due to all sexuality being unfamiliar and foreign to him, which is different from regular violence which he understands and is able to respond to.

Also, I find it fascinating that Warren Ellis decided to reboot the entirety of the Wildstorm universe with The Wild Storm (24 Issue Maxiseries) and the first spin-off that he authorized for it…was for Deathblow 😒 I think it was released as “Michael Cray” and written by Bryan Hill (very talented writer), but how strange is it that they chose to bring it back but not immediately go into Stormwatch, the precursor to The Authority, totally for Deathblow? Addendum: I’m aware that the Stormwatch was originally meant to spin off from The Wild Storm #24, but then Warren Ellis got bombarded with accusations left and right. I just think it’s shitty that he never got the chance to see it through and instead was treated as guilty before proven innocent

It’s one of my favorites because it’s a lot deeper than explained here especially how it’s told from Jonnys perspective and he’s trying to get out that life and he knows it’s bad but it’s dragging him back but ultimately it kills him. There’s parts where you can tell he kinda looks up to him inna way and the joker is just a destructive person that destroys the things he cares about like the part (forgot how it went) but you kinda can tell he’s mad and annoyed that jonnys sticking with him.
