I was there 3 years ago as well, or 3 and 3/4 I guess. The road was destroyed then due to heavy rain so it was more of a clay than an asphalt road back then. Think the journey took me about 5-6 hours due to the poor state of the road and all the gridlocks in Phnom Phen.

I just realized 7 days at a nice hotel in Kampot will run you $179 dollars, which is still $21 cheaper than spending the night with a Phnom Penh bar girl. I've heard some crazy things in my time, but $200 for a bar girl takes the cake.
@trevr19692 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm interested in hearing what the girls and kampot charge
@plos27652 жыл бұрын
The bar girls have probably been reading the overseas classifieds. I saw one bird in Bangkok complaining that some overweight and uneasy on the eyes older escort in Boston was advertising $350 an hour online, the bar girl said wtf I look cute and am 52kg why the hell should I let myself go for 60 quid. I guess she has a point, tryin to do the best for herself.
@gavinbottcher91742 жыл бұрын
Takes the piss they will go broke very quickly at that ridiculous price.
@jimmydempsey68572 жыл бұрын
If the guys r willing to pay it then u can't blame the girls for asking 💰💰
@SuperSupersoda2 жыл бұрын
@@plos2765 That is what the escort in Boston advertises that she wants, that isn't what she actually gets. The fact that this woman in Boston thinks she's worth $350 an hour is the entire reason why men avoid American women and go to places like Thailand in the first place. It isn't just the cheaper prices, it's also the attitude. I can write off 60 quid if the night is horrible, I can't write off $350. My greatest fear is that the entire world is becoming like this, and overseas isn't a good bet anymore. I shudder to think what the world is going to be like in 10 years; I only see things getting worse. Hope I'm wrong.

I have lived in Kampot for the last 1.5 years prior to moving there. I lived in Phnom Penh for 3.5 years, and I much prefer living in Kampot. This sounds selfish, BUT I kind of hope Thailand imposes restrictions to Chinese as I want room to walk up and down Walking Street in mid January. ;-]. Not sure if Cambodia is on the Chinese travel agenda though.
