its better than not wearing a helmet but considering it got popped by a few small pistol rounds makes you realize even if ur helmet blocks it your still going to get fucked up, its also not a real accurate depiction of weapons being used at it i think its mostly 7.62 and but still a lot of 9mm and 45 probably

Also it's good to know that it can actually stop a pistol caliber bullet or 2, those things are pretty much meant for shrapnel.

The Galil ACE 31 is of 600 m/s muzzle velocity, ACE31 is 680 m/s and ACE 53 is of 860 m/s. The helmet barely stopped the Desert Eagle with muzzle velocity of 470 m/s which is one of the best handgun muzzle velocities. My guess is that with Galil AC 53, the block would have a hole. The Canadian helmet is probably one of the best available but it cannot stop bullets from assault rifles.

The CG634 helmet with the rubber rim indicates it's a Gen1 version, being made out of spectra fibber (same ballistics as kevular, except it has a longer service life) And unlike the US PASGT helmet or UCH, the liner is based of the French F2 Kevular helmet (French clone of the PASGT) There are no differences between the Gen1 and 2. only the companies producing them and material of the rim Gen1's were made by Gallet, a French company. Then production was turn over to an US company called MSA Unlike the Gen1, the MSAs Gen2 smoothen out the black plastic parts of the helmet and removed the rubber rim in favour of a more plastic one

@@nilloc93 the styrofoam style padding in our helmets is way harder than the trauma pads you'll find in most other modern helmets. given it isn't for concussive injuries and is more-less there to slow the deformation of the kevlar as it catches shrapnel, it does the job, but if you get shot and the round doesn't penetrate, you'd easily bruise your skull and perhaps if we're talking about a large round at range which has decelerated enough, find yourself with a minor concussion.

For those wondering about Canada's firearms ban. As a legal Canadian firearms owner. Almost all 12ga and 20ga shotguns are banned now as there bore is greater than 20mm. 20,000 bolt action rifles are banned now as there shot is greater than 10,000 joules. All AR M4 M16 or any other style platform or like style platform are banned. Almost all semi auto rifles are banned including .22 semi auto rifles. This Assault Style Firearms ban turned out to be a almost complete firearms ban. There's very few firearms left which haven't been banned. And where still trying to figure out what's included in the ban as it was so open ended and vague being so inclusive. It's already been challenged by several members of parliament and petitions of appeal have been put in monition by members of parliament. Its been criticized by Doug Ford Premier Of Ontario. The CFA has launched a law suite against the federal government and is suing the federal government. There's allot of political blow back and public blow back to this gun ban. It was also done by Order Of Council. No vote no decision no debate. Its not a new law or laws. Its a regulation. Some say the gun bans illegal and didn't follow democratic process. I've been referring to Drama teacher as Adolf Trudeau because he's acting like a dictator. This gun ban won't stop gun crime, 95% of all gun crime in Canada is committed by Illegal firearms. No regulation, no law, no restrictions will change that fact. This law won't save lives, it wont stop gun crime, it won't do anything but take guns away form law abiding Canadians.

@@EdwinSarkissian honestly what can we do. Even if we get 20 million signatures on the petitions the government can simply choose to ignore them. As for the court case we where given 2 years grace period to get rid of are firearms or be labeled criminals. The court case could take years in litigation. A no confidence vote is are only option. And remove the liberals from power.

I used to work for a helmet manufacturer that made many helmets for our forces, allies, and police. I always hope to see a model or something to tell me if it's from there. I did the edge prep for the rubber you see on the bottom edge, then sandblasted them for paint, and often did surface prep and refining between paint layers.

I would suggest next time take out the leather headband and it's connections from the inside of the helmet beforehand that way we can see what kind of damage. Also you should rotate thr helmet and not shoot the same area. In real life if you take a bullet and there is damage it's replaced. Spent 28 years as an MP with 4 tours iverseas

One Canadian engineer can do any engineering task required like blow shit up, purifying water, rebuilding structures, fight like an infantrymen, use heavy equipment, building bridges, breaching and the list goes on. One US Engineer can specialize in one specific trade like bridging or breaching... and that's basically it. So the US have the numbers but Canada's is much more valuable.
