You guys are extremely good at storytelling. After watching your first Nepal video, I lost your channel in the sea of YT channels. Watching your video from Canada, I have been biased towards Nepalese travel vlogs for a while now because my heart isn't here. However, 7 minutes into this video, and now I would like to follow your travel vlogs elsewhere too, hence, subbed. I lived in Ireland for over 7 years during my 20s and traveled countless times by bus to visit my girlfriend in the middle of Ireland from Dublin. I used to watch movies on my mobile during my journeys without any problem, so fantastic. However, I still miss them unforgiving bus journeys back home. I am so excited to go through your Nepal journey right now and beyond.

Found your videos yesterday and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing this amazing place again through your channel…Thank you…but Wow! Things have really changed in 26 years! You encountered some luxury…. I did it at the age of 48 with a friend…no guides…it was a life changing experience. After Nepal we took buses, tuk tuks and trains to Varanassi, India staying for 6 weeks on the Ganges…the onto Calcutta by train (12 hours in the cheap seats). Finally onto Thailand as it was getting to hot in India 110*. Stayed in Thailand for another month…then back to the states…Trip of a lifetime..5 solid months. So thanks I’m flooded with wonderful memories.

Really nice video series, guys. I went back to Annapurna in 2022 for a third time after a 30 year hiatus, and was well worth it. Did the same with the Khumbu last year (3 passes/Gokyo/EBC). Lots of changes since the 80’s and 90’s in both reason. Keep up the good work, and hope this tripped inspired you to many more in the big mountains.
@JoshEdwardsFilms

Cheers Greig, much appreciated 🙏 I would've loved to see what it was like 30 years back! Despite the encroachment of the road and development, it's still enchanting and I think they're making an effort to build new paths and trails away from the road. And yes I'd say this trip was the first of many...once you get a taste, you just have to keep going back. The 3 passes is very much on my radar - it sounds amazing over that way!
@greigscott957
@greigscott957 Ай бұрын
@@JoshEdwardsFilms really appreciate the way you treat the people, landscape and culture with respect and dignity. Yep, thirty years ago was very different, but there have been a lot of positives to offsets the negatives of change, particularly on the Marsayandi side (better lodges, WiFi, food choice, more company, real toilets !! etc etc - Marsayandi valley was very rustic back then ( I even remember maggot toilets, and Phedi was a dump ). There were no trekking guides back then, and nobody that I can remember had porters. First time I was on that side was a climbing expedition to Gangapurna, so spent a lot of time in Manang, and it was a three lodge town then 😎😎. Go and make sure you do the 3 passes. Gokyo especially is worth the trip alone. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your Annapurna series when it drops ……. Greig

I think you have the potential of gaining a hundred thousand subscribers or more. One side note: I found your “off-color” language disrespectful of the western world. Hello Lesliey, thanks so much for the very kind words 🙏 really glad you're enjoying the series :) I wanted it to feel as if you as the viewer were joining along in the adventure, so I'm glad that's the case! And I appreciate your feedback. My own mother has a similar dislike of the language, so I always try to tone that down and edit as much as possible. I suspect if I were to air these types of series on TV one day I'd need to reign that in. I don't recall where that exact phrase was used - could you let me know? I'd like to review it because the "C" word wouldn't usually get passed my radar - it's too much
