We were on this Ship last April with our son. Loved that it was a new ship. Everything about it was wonderful. The Spa was a gift from my son and his wife. OMG it was so relaxing. We had a great time cruising.

I sailed on the MS Nieuw Statendam in March a week before the shut down. She really is a beautiful ship. Best buffet I've experienced to date. Glad you guys enjoyed HAL!

I fall in love with HAL last year with the Koningsdam, similar to that one. Hope you discovered the pasta station in the buffet! You didn't mention that room service is totally complementary and hope you tried the breakfast in your room! It's amazing. The TV also shows the itinerary and expected weather per day. It is not a loud at all but it is still fun. Theater presentations could be disappointing...but other music venues were really good. Glad you are trying all cruise lines!

I put off watching for days, HAL is our favorite line, but it's bittersweet right now, we want to sail so badly; the longer this shutdown goes on the more depressing it gets. Bu your video was top notch as usual, the Dive-In is my favorite mid-afternoon indulgence and I do it daily, so glad you discovered that. I'm glad you both like the ship/line overall, I think HAL sometimes gets a bad rap but has much to offer, especially if you are in for plain old R/R.

Wow and Wow!!! Those showers in the spa look phenomenal... straight outta sci-fi and the balcony shower looks better than mine at Home!!! The food looks amazing!!!! And the width of the room is certainly made up by its length!!! That balcony is massive 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

With the recent news that Canada is banning cruise ship for 2021 it looks like my Southbound AK cruise is likely to be cancelled for a third time (twice with HAL). So to fight the disappointment I'll have to watch your HAL vlogs again. I was so looking forward to my first HAL cruise with a balcony in AK no less.

We had a norway fjord cruise on this ship and we loved it, remember the Dive in place had the nicest burgers ever, and the steakhouse was amacing;0)

This is a bittersweet vlog for me. As I type this I am supposed to be on a HAL ship in Alaska. I was so looking forward to experiencing Holland America Line. The silver lining is that I will now be trying Princess Cruise line next year in AK to replace the cancelled HAL cruise.

The level of activity and entertainment will vary by ship. We are sailing on the sister ship Koningsdam to Alaskan next year as it has all the same fun venues as this one.

I like the shower that is shown at 4:10. I see that there is no built in seat or ledge at the far side of the shower. It would also be nice to see a 2nd shower head with a hand held hose located above the seat that could be used while sitting in the shower.

I cruised out of Ft Lauderdale the first week of Feb 2020 on the carnival magic. I was wondering if you guys also departed on Feb. 1. Kinda neat since Jason noted the carnival magic when it was departing.....did you see me wave? lol I feel like we got lucky cruising at that time, just as the shilly was hitting the fan. I remember watching the news on the ship, they had just started to cover the diamond princess outbreak and we were a bit freaked out. Carnival Magic was in need of repair and was showing it. I witnessed a piece of the ceiling out by the pool came down on someones head!

Hey guys, Great informative video. We did that ship on its first USA sailing it was simply gorgeous and love the option at the Dive Inn for us Keto eaters. We also modified our plate each night in the main dining room removing the carbs and adding the Cauliflower Gratin. Did you try it ? it was so so so good. HAL more than exceeded our expectations! The ship was beautiful, food was great... and wait until you see the nighttime entertainment. Definitely give them a try. We haven’t sailed Celebrity yet but want to try them as well.

@@EECCTravels Yes fingers crossed indeed. We are having a major shortage of vaccines here in Canada but as soon as it's available we are IN!!! That balcony looked HUGE. You might be one of the very first sails as the ship has not even finished being built atm. Question...were the pools a good temperature? Do they open that roof often? Are the movies actually under the stars? If your trip gets postponed in November are you thinking March 13th 2022?...lol p.s. love your videos

The pools were heated, or at least they felt warm, plus the hot tubs were nice. Whenever the weather was good the roof was open, at night too for the movies. But I love that retractable roof as we were in the pool one day and it starred raining, they closed it and we could continue to enjoy the pool.
