Bought 3 packs used. Owner did not delete them out of his network. When i tried to set them up at my office, all 3 yielded that they have been registered to another network, need to contact previous owner to have them deleted out of old network. I couldnt get a hold of the previous owner so i performed the factory reset on all 3 packs. They worked. I was able to setup all 3 to my network. Easy peasy!!!

Be patient, You must wait several minutes for the white light to turn red and then wait for about fifteen seconds until the light turns orange. This solution works when the Eero module which is connected to your modem is not connected to the network. So the Eero network must not be configured or connected, which is why the light turns red saying that the connection is impossible.

Mine started flashing white after holding for 15 seconds the first time. I waited until the light became solid white and held the button another 15 seconds or so, and it worked just like the video.

As you've probably found, no it doesn't unregister it. I found a suggestion that you need to hard reset it while the eero has an active Internet con section but this made no difference for me, the eero still couldn't be registered to another account. I was testing with one and the only way I could reset the eero outwith my house was to let the eero go online with a network connection (not its original one) which meant it showed in the eero app and then I could remove it. I was having issues with another eero and had the same issue there that a hard reset was not removing it from the group it was in

I love how they made the reset button so incredibly difficult to make out as an actual "button." It just looks like a tiny raised pimple of plastic with a barely perceptible circle on it. No overt "reset" labeling or anything...like it's supposed to be a secret or something. Very odd design.
