12:56 You in Australia definitely are not familiar with a look of snowy car, car just freed from snow by melting that snow and car with snow removed by snowbrush. On 12:56 is by no mistake the latter. They didn't even bother themselves to make it look convincing. Specles of snow everywhere - on the roof, in tight places like radiator grille, even on the windshield. That look is just impossible in case of melted snow.

Going to guess the motors used are also recycled motors from ewaste, probably taken from all those millions of scrapped CDROM and DVD players that have gone in as ewaste to be "recycled", with the motors taken out and sold for a cent each. Solar panel looks like the generic solar panel used in garden lights, with 4 tiny little solar panel strips under the blob of clear resin, to deliver around 1V6 to the motor. you can see the generic solar module, 44mm diameter, common on hundreds of cheap garden lights, that use the solar power to charge the cheapest reject grade 100-300mAh NimH cell they can get, either new reject stock, or recovered ewaste cells, that then run a 5mm white LED for a few hours after sunset, at around a peak of 10ma, dropping with time. to nothing.

If it could actually unfreeze he outside of your house from inside you probably have worse problems than heating bills. A car is plausible with the right heater but on a house you wouldnt want the heat from inside the house to unfreeze the roof. The car is plausible because the snow insulates and is slick so the snow will slide off as soon as there is a film of water between the body and the snow. The car will still be standing in a mound of snow though so not sure how much it really helps assuming it's as much snow as in the video. In sweden we use avout 700w space haters connected to the mains for this purpose and it still takes quite some time to even defrost the windows.

Its sale is set to end in 13 mins... _counted from when you last loaded the page, and it restarts to 13 mins after the alleged time ran out_ (scummy, eh?). Let's see in a few weeks' time if it's still timed that way. And those scammers can''t even seem to be able to math -- if you're selling smth that costs $50 for $20 (the 1 piece one), that's a _60%_ discount, not a 40%. With crap like this, the question isn't "if" it's a scam... it's how much of a scam it is. Not surprised it doesn't even heat at all.

The fact that Amazon sells these things at all is sad, the fact that there are dozens of them on Amazon makes it clear the Bezos has zero interest in maintaining an honest marketplace and are quite comfortable collecting a substantial cut for the theft from its customers. OK, I've avoided comment on the consumer that buys these things, not counting Dave who's obviously had some fun with the debunk, but, honestly, the fact that these are selling is testament to the gullibility and absolute lack of even a hint of technical competency is truly sad.
