Wow! Being new to the process and seeing someone with such a powerful skill-set demonstrating the tools makes me so excited to receive the Kickstarter rewards. This will help me add a new "twist" to my small business product line. Thank you so much for bringing your invention into the world. We need more beautiful minds reengineering useful old-world tools enabling us to achieve new goals in small spaces. So impressed right now. Skål

Vampy, you did a great job of showing us your quick start guide. Thank you so much :)

This is so in-depth thank you! Mine is still in the post and I was worried it would be really cheaply made but this is the first video that really shows the quality. It actually looks quite heavy duty!

would it work to put a little round of felt pad on the lazy kate to reduce the noise or will that put too much drag on the bobbins???
@ElizaJ423 жыл бұрын
I would also like to know, I'm glad you mentioned it. -Seems- like a good solution to me; I do not profess to be any sort of machinest!
@vampyyy3 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't cause too much drag, I will try and remember to try it out. I'm not sure where the noise on the lazy kate comes from; if it's from the bottom where a felt washer would help, or the shaft, or even the base resonating on the table.

My eel 6 did not come with the additional tensioner. Should it have been included?
@DreamingRobotsBlog Жыл бұрын
No. That part is no longer included

Hi Vampy. What is it that you have put your lazy kate on (the pink looking pad)? Kind regards Margaret

It's a non-slip silicone trivet/pot holder

Do the things in the little baggy come with the EEW 6.0 or was that only for people who joined the Kickstarter? I do not see them listed in it's description. If so what are they? I am partially wondering if it comes with the finer spring as I like to spin fine yarns. Thank you
@DreamingRobotsBlog3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the extra spring is included. The only thing not included from this video is the Lazy Kate which you'd need to order separately if you want it.

@@DreamingRobotsBlogPerfect! Would the "EEW Nano USB Power Cord" work with a Nano 1.1 compatible 5v battery if the EEW 6.0 is kept within the Nano 1.1's speed range?
@DreamingRobotsBlog3 жыл бұрын
@@cats1000m I think you are asking if the EEW Nano USB cable would work with the EEW 6.0. The answer is I don't recommend it for a few reasons. First the EEW 6.0 can draw more current than the cable or a USB port supports so you might damage those if they aren't correctly protected. Second this Nano cable outputs 9V and the EEW 6.0 normally runs on 12V. This won't hurt the EEW 6.0, but the EEW 6.0 will run slower. As far as having the EEW 6.0 run slower that helps, but doesn't completely fix the over current problem because even at low speeds if the motor is stalled (or put under high load) that can spike the current a lot. So overall I don't recommend this.

@@DreamingRobotsBlogI was wondering if a EEW Nano USB Power Cord would work with a 5v battery like the Nano1.1 if the speed on the EEW 6.0 was keep in the same range as a Nano 1.1 (up to 1,000 rpm.)

@@cats1000m I had a longer answer to this above, but the short answer is no.

Do you have one for Nano2

Pretty good video, but wish the camera was set better. Not being able to see some of the things they do,or the part they are working with, is frustrating as a viewer.
