Just really appreciate you creating these machines and all the free pro tables that you have to help make it easy and affordable to get into spinning. Bought my nano to see if I enjoy spinning with the idea that I’ll buy a 6 if I do. Thank you :)

For anyone having this video popping up on their feed and interested an a Dreaming Robots EEW e-spinner: I’m not sponsored or affiliated with Dreaming Robots in any way and absolutely LOVE the EEW e-spinners. I own the EEW 6.2 and the EEW Nano2. They’re later iterations of the e-spinners in this video. Both are work horses, each in their own way, in the sense that you can spin for hours and hours on end. My default spin is cobweb to lace weight with the odd sock yarn thrown in. When spinning lace I tend to grab my Nano2 and when spinning larger quantities for a big lace project (1500-2000 yards of 2-ply lace weight) I ply on the 6.2, taking advantage of the larger bobbin size. Both spinners are wonderful to work with. I still need to get the battery pack for the 6.2, which is a little harder to get where I live in Europe. If you are wondering about getting yourself an e-spinner, don’t hesitate.

Looking forward to this! I, unfortunately, missed the Kickstarter by a week or I would've backed it, but I did add my name to the waiting list.

I bought a 1.0 and ended up upgrading to the 1.1 motor as a new spinner and I'm hooked but was kinda sad that I could really only spin thin yarn. Super excited about the 6.0 and it's still way cheaper and more convenient than a big wooden conventional wheel that would probably get destroyed by my kids within 30 seconds of entering my house. I love the durability of your wheels. They are almost "kidproof". Can you do a video with the 6.0 showing the thickest yarn it can handle please😀. I was going to buy a traditional wheel to spin the bigger stuff but I'd rather buy an EEW just because of the portability and durability if it can handle bulky yarns.

2questions I couldn’t seem to find on the kickstarter. Might be there but couldn’t see it. First is there the capability to plug the 6 directly into an outlet or us it battery only? I would rather have an outlet cord then a foot pedal. Second has the problem of the round disc that that in the nano is purple & on the 6 is silver ( I can’t think of the name of it) that keeps popping off been solved? I finally glued the nano, it last several months the the glue released & the post split. Thankfully my brother 3D printed me another at the same demension as the original & after about 10 minutes it was popping off, so now I’ve had to glue that. Is this going to be a problem with the new 6? Thank you.

I love your performance that’s what I’m looking for. But I spin lace so I need small bobbins I also spin cotton or nature fibers for lite lace. So performance is very important. I think you have a great product for high spinning
I got the nano as an early Christmas present. I was so excited but it stopped working the first day.

Ah, but the 6 had it's battery pack cover on the bottom and possibly a battery in it and the nano didn't so the Big 6 had an extra unfair advantage! I demand I replay!

Could you make bigger bobins for the nano to hold more ysrn
@MauriceRibble2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, that won't work. There just isn't room for a larger bobbin. I do make the EEW 6 which has larger bobbins.

Safety tip: a man with your muttonchops should not hold up a spinner so close to the side of your head.

So looking forward to my 6! Can you clarify what you mean by the hours the motor will run? Does it self destruct after that? Is it concurrent running or total running time over days/weeks/months?
@DreamingRobotsBlog4 жыл бұрын
Those run times are the number of hours the motor manufacture estimates for mean time between failures (basically an after number of hours until the motor stops running. It is the total amount of time running the motor over months and years. All motors have this behavior, such as the one one your washing machine. Most makers just don't talk about it, but I think it's good to give that kind of information.
