On boiling a sink full of water in 6 seconds, some quick maffs: The specific heat of water is about 4200 Joules per kilogram per Kelvin. So we need 4.2 kilojoules of energy to heat a litre of water by one degree Celsius. Assuming we're starting with water at 20°C, we need to heat it by 80 degrees, so 4.2 kJ × 80 = 336 kJ. Divided by 6 seconds, that's 56 kW of power. That's about 25 normal electric kettles, plugged in at the same time, to heat *one litre* of water in 6 seconds. A small kitchen sink holds a bit more than a litre. Let's say 50L. (based on a 25×22×6 inch sink I found at Lowe's) 50 × 56 kW = 2800 kW, or 1272 electric kettles. You could easily get this kind of power from the twin turboshaft engines from an Apache attack helicopter, which I assume is what most sous vide machines are powered by.

@mattmark94 funnily enough it's actually considered a right under law to own a shotgun. If it has a 3 round capacity or less they're not legally considered firearms, which is odd but whatever- If you have a safe place to use them ( i.e land with the owners permission to shoot on), no criminal record, no mental illness and two safes secured to a wall in a lockable building- (one for ammo, one for the guns) it's then the police's job to prove why you shouldn't own one- whereas with firearms, which are classed as any projectile weapon using compressed air or propellant with a muzzle velocity exceeding 16 joules, the onus is on the citizen to prove why they should have one. I know your comment was a joke but I thought I'd reply on the off-chance you might appreciate the information. Hope you're having a good day.

@@mr.barcode3186 Hawkeye is the only D+ Marvel show where I think the title character is unscathed. Even though the Black Widow movie had already happened, I could get behind the moments Clint has remembering/apologizing to Natasha. I thought the understanding between him and the wife was charming too. But, yeah, Hawkeye: The Show is not amazing. Yelena's inclusion (and resolution) was incredibly easy, like she's absolutely out to kill Clint with no questions asked, and then he says "it wasn't like that" enough times and she breaks down. Echo and Kazi made for a paint-by-numbers aside, for more drama, and even with her parallel to Clint's rampage as Ronin, Echo is not integral here. Kingpin was turned into an assclown. The mom and Swordsman subversion was really telegraphed... the whole of the LARPer element was one of the most embarrassing things canonized in the MCU. Pizza Dog and Kate were a-okay!

For the Zoomer and Gen Alpha not being able to read an analog clock joke. It is an actual thing. A lot of us can't read analog clocks. We were taught in grade school, and then it never came up again because digital clocks are everywhere. I can because it is fairly intuitive, and I wear a watch. But i have known a lot of people who need to take a second to read a clock. Now, where the Agatha joke fails is that while Zoomers and Gen Alpha have trouble reading analog clocks, we all know what clockwise and counter clockwise is just from life stuff that has nothing ro do with actual clocks.

Drink wine, be poisoned, make generic antidote (I don't remember them analysing the poison, but I could be wrong). Go in house, play song (because of all the instruments, you know) everyone knows. You don't even need to play it that well. Enter house play with ouija board. End it with saying "goodbye" as the instructions told you to. If these are the insanely hard witch trials to get incredible power, I don't think youtube will let me use the clinical term to describe the witch community's intelligence level.

My main contention with MCU Agatha has always been that the show seems to want me to believe she's evil, but they never show her doing anything evil or clearly explain what evil she has done in the past. Causing Sharon's death is the first pointedly evil thing Agatha has been depicted doing. Agatha dragged an innocent women into a dangerous situation for her own gain and let that woman die through carelessness. And she doesn't seem to care. This is Agatha's first unambiguous crime, and I don't think the show even realizes it. It's really weird to wait until halfway through her show to finally have her do something evil.

Hang on...did the writers have Sharon fall unconscious while hallucinating the most traumatic event of her life, kill her, and then end the episode on a joke? EDIT: 3:01:23 YUP THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID The writers introduced a completely innocent character, had the protagonists selfishly trick her into a highly dangerous situation, and then had her die frightened and alone because the others were too busy being selfish _and_ stupid. _And the writers expect us to laugh_

actually the MCU going down the shitter is what made me give MHA another shot and it ended up being really good. Still started slow, but it was a few magnitudes of magnitudes of magnitudes better than Secret Invasion ever was. (not a weeb by any means, but a few anime are actually deserving of their reputation. I'm only through the first hour of coverage, so maybe they get around to it, but... Do we know how Jac Schaeffer got this job, writing for WandaVision and Agatha? Her career, a full decade before WandaVision, was making a sci-fi romance that got mixed reviews and it has virtually no footprint in the history of movies. Then 2019, she did a female-remake of a comedy, and it was panned. Then Marvel swipes her up and has her writing for a handful of their female leads. ? Like, what was the appeal here? What made her the right fit for a shared universe, with established dramatic characters like Wanda and Black Widow?

eh, that could easily be context dependent. Different spells could easily have different levels of persistence. IIRC the spell that Strange put on the Eye of Agamoto was more like a binding enchantment that would be associated with the item itself, whereas a hallucination/deception/illusion spell would presumably need constant 'maintenance' and would dissipate naturally if the caster died.

The rhyme issue @03:07:00, is not really an issue. I noticed that Rags complained about the same thing in that awful Acolyte song. The rhyme in question is not only found in the last word, but also the second last-reach and teach. These are called feminine rhymes or double rhymes, if I’m not mistaken, and they are a kind of multisyllabic rhyming scheme. There are many examples of this in both hip-hop and highly respected poetry.

To answer that one person chat who said "Where is white vision?" That's pretty funny, I mean vision is fairly chill but I mean even he might jump off the rails if his son turned out like... whatever that is supposed to be. Oh and I'm pretty sure they skipped over it because it isn't crucial to the "story" but it needs to be stated how disturbing it is that they felt the need to include a scene when she was walking out on the street naked and a child (a little girl specifically) across the street sees her, and her parents try to cover her but they don't make that much of an effort and the show also displays the little girl moving their hands aside so she can see more... The "parents" don't yell angrily at her or even look visibly upset nor drag their child inside like they should, nothing.

No, Rags, a Hexenbesen isn't just a ritual to create a witch broom. It's the german word *for* witch broom. At this point, why not just say witch broom? I thought only Anime had this strange fascination with the german language.....🤔 Also, I fully agree. That music scene to banish the demon could have been a lot more interesting and exciting. I can think of at least three stories where an evil, magical creature was beaten with the power of music and one if those is a My little Pony movie. That was a cute attempt there, Agatha all along, but how about you take some advice from your betters? Like the colorful cartoon horses?

Man, i was thinking i could do a whole comparison with a movie (that i love) as they shares a few baseline concepts. Like both start with a whole 'fake intro' but the movie has a reason for it to be a thing. There also some memory manipulation stuff, and even a 'random' song moment with the characters singing as well but the (cake) song in this case is their own and it's part of the whole 'fake setting', not some old-but-not one like in this show. Oh, i guess i can say that the movie has 5 main female characters just like the show. But i realised that i don't really know where to go with it beyond saying that they could of actually done something with the ideas, like the whole fake intro could of been something interesting if that was the focus. I have to give the show one thing though, they have Mr Shart.
