The EFF's decline exposes the hollowness of its revolutionary rhetoric. While claiming to champion the people, its leadership fractures, opportunistic shifts, and inability to consolidate gains reflect systemic flaws. Political vitality cannot be sustained by spectacle or personal ambition alone. South Africa needs genuine grassroots empowerment, not a party whose identity revolves around one figure’s charisma. If the EFF cannot transcend its internal contradictions, its radical promises will remain distractions from meaningful systemic change.
