OK 3)I thought i was late to work OK 4) I thought I am late to work I thought I was going to be late to work. 5) I didn't have proper sleep last night. This is fine. Can I use as noun I don't have proper sleep like that is that a noun As a past tense sentence, yes you can. I didn't have proper sleep last night. However, it is more common to simply say... I didn't get enough sleep last night.
