I shared this class with my small group of Somatic deep divers and combined it with some of your MR ball 'psoas whispering' play. Everyone reported some radical softening of their backs, legs able to release more and even shoulder blades. But the most pleasing result was one student who has suffered many years from almost unbearable discomfort and tightness in her mid thoracic spine/bra-line area. Nothing else has worked to release this in the few months I've been working with her but tonight she reported a softening, a change. I think we may have a path forward! Thank you for opening doorways Megan 😊

Well, what a happy camper I am for having found you , Megan. This was a lovely routine. I've been doing Somatics for several years , on and off. It's always better when it's "on". Your technique and comments and visualizations are a little different and I love that. Learning a new way to look at Somatics and my body. I'm on the west coast of Canada but I'm happy to join your community. Thank you so much for sharing. And I'll share you too !

When you said "the deepest wound needs the gentlest touch" I felt that very strongly and it made me tear up - I can tend to meet the pain with frustration because the feeling is upsetting, yet I know deep down that it needs my comfort and tenderness

A wonderful practice for my whole (less and less wounded) left side! Finding that it's the quadratus lumborum most benefitting, particularly from the side bend/curl, though these last vestiges of injury all seem to realign through it. Thank you! (PS - your comment to 'plug the arm into the socket' really changed the impact for me.) Yes, we are our greatest healers.... with a little help from our erudite friends :)

Question , is the lumbar area flattening as leg cones down and lengthens? thank u
@MeganMacCarthy3 ай бұрын
Extend the leg with the lumbar arches, then relax the long leg and slowly lengthening the lumbar by pressing it down. Continue to tilt the pelvis from the arch to the curl a bit with the leg long and relaxed.

Hi Megan, thank you so much for this sequence! My psoas has been so tight as to cause some frustrating health issues, and these are the first movements I’ve found that have actually started to release it - I can’t thank you enough!! Quick question - how often would you suggest that I do this track? Is it good to do every day, or just a couple of times a week?
@MeganMacCarthy Жыл бұрын
Hi Leah, thanks for sharing your success! Yes, you can do it every day. It’s best to do at least 5 days a week for 1/2 or more, but you can also change it up and don’t need to to do the whole things every time.
