There is a difference between frangrance and 100% pure high quality essential oils. Lavandula angustifolia essential oil is excellent for our body. It really has soothing effect on our skin and Mona's tips are really great.
@mushy4704 жыл бұрын
No. The fragrant components that irritate your skin are in essential oils too.
@nissan_skyline2 жыл бұрын
Essential oils are a complex mixture of several chemical compounds including terpenes, alcohols, aldehydes and phenols. The majority of people aren't allergic to fragrance/essential oils and they're typically used in very small amounts when incorporated into skincare products, but essential oils still have the potential to cause adverse effects that range from mild to severe. In one documented case, the adverse effect was fatal. Lavender, peppermint, tea tree oil and ylang-ylang are the most common essential oils responsible for adverse effects (the most common being contact dermatitis). Lavender oil in particular has been shown to be cytotoxic to human skin cells at concentrations of 0.25% in all cell types tested.

I have a skin care question: I have post acne hyperpigmentation (red spots), and my dermatologist just put me on hydroquinone (I am trying to lighten the spots before a big vacation coming up in May). So now I may be going on a weekend getaway in the sun in a couple of weeks and I’m wondering what to do about the hydroquinone? Is a high SPF with frequent reapplication and wearing hats enough? Should I stop the hydroquinone for some time before or after the trip? Would appreciate some feedback! Thank you
@robynweyeneth15314 жыл бұрын
Connie Kantarjian I would stop the hydroquinone. I would try a serum with alpha Arbutin. The ordinary has a good one. It helps with scarring/ dark marks from acne and is less sensitizing. But def sunscreen and hat daily. ( I’m an esthetician )
@ploaiepluvo9334 жыл бұрын
Red spots are post inflammatory erythema not hyperpigmentation, best you could do is use sunscreen and maybe prescription azelaic.
