Excellent points. Also, use your HR team for advice and guidance to ensure you are addressing the issue the right way where it will protect you and the company from legal retaliation.

I am at a point where it is really difficult to impose this (say on the topic of returning back to the office)... Combine this with a company split (also team split), higher salaries 20-30% outside, low yearly salary review, potential understaffing due to leavers already ... how does one return people back when they see it as a benefit 2 years later :( W/o firing them that is :0)

I have tried the empathetic way... didn't work. Staff suffers from anxiety making her easily gravitate to negativity. I am eventually going do disciplinary way although I know she is going get very defensive

Can someone be fired instantly for insubordination? I have several people on my team who are acting this way and their ring leader is undermining everything I do and has turned some team members against me and encouraged them to file HR cases against me, for something that hasn’t even happened yet.
