Both AJ and Rarity were my favorites as a kid (and still are, lol.) I can kind of understand how AJ isn't as marketable, but Rarity is literally a materialistic girly-girl... the show is marketed to girly-girls, and materialistic ones would want merch of their favorite show, so it makes zero sense why they don't have much merch for the ONE character those types of girls would relate to.

Brony made physical ponies are way better than what commercial puts out. The only reason Funko got popular is because they are of much more higher quality than those you see in regular toy stores plus they could produce it in larger quantities. I don't get the Funko craze before, neither will I understand the current backlash either. All I know is that I wished they still made the vinyl versions. Those are peak commercial collectibles

Here's something else: In the MLP Mystery Minis, they mainly sell the ponys in black. And we do get colored ones too, but here's one thing. We got black versions of each of the mains 6, and yet we had only 4 colored versions of the main 6. And those 2 that didn't get a colored versions are: You guessed it, AppleJack & Rarity.

AppleJack was my favorite growing up and I would sometimes notice how she'd be missing from certain things, like in a McDonald's line (thankfully, i got her in a different line a few years later) but as a kid, it made me really sad :( and i can imagine how many kids felt too, it's an awful feeling ;_;

I have a few MLP, Adventure Time and Looney Tunes Funkos. I think those series' character designs translate well. I really like the designs of the MLP Funko Pops. I really hate the weirdly haphazard way they're released and the fact that instead of releasing a new wave of figures they released a wave of NF-f%#ing-Ts instead. Screw NFTs. You're a company that exists solely to sell physical collectables. Just sell the damn collectables!

Mcdonalds also does this with their MLP toys, I would always buy them (back then) and everytime they release a MLP set, It's always: Fluttershy, Rainbow dash, Pinkie and Rarity. The last time i've ever seen Twilight was when she had an Equestria Girls toy and a Pony Toy and those were only once. While Applejack only had ONE toy i can recall...It was also equestria girls....And the only time i've ever seen a diffrent MLP pony have a McDonalds toy was Starlight. (This was in the Philippines btw, So the toys were probably diffrent for you guys but yeah.)

The only mlp funko pop I have was a gift, and it’s Tempest Shadow. I am still blown away how they never even made a rarity or aj pop seeing how many collectors will go ahead and buy the whole collection meaning more money in their pockets. i have a lot of nostalgia for these tbh, i remember receiving the original twilight funko for christmas and my sister got pinkie, and when getting ready to move out for college, i managed to find both of them along with buying a lot online that had the fluttershy and trixie pops as well as the pinkie and trixie vinyls. ik funko gets a lot of hate, but it filled me with joy when getting new mlp stuff with my own money, although secondhand and probably filled with grime and dirt

I have two MLP Funko POPs at the moment, a Twilight Seapony one and a retro G1 Minty. I did also used to have Tempest Shadow, Seapony Fluttershy and a set of 3 Mini POPs, which consisted of Rainbow Dash, Derpy & Discord. Aside from POPs, I have Lyra, Bon Bon & Octavia as large Funko Vinyls and numerous Mystery Minis ponies, as I feel that these two ranges were vastly superior and more show-accurate than the POPs. What bugs me about Funko POPs generally most of all, on top of the fact that you can’t tell who most of them are supposed to be, is that there are hundreds of thousands of them for every tiny insignificant character from any pop-culture thing you could imagine, yet they’re so deformed and have no features, and still people have HOARDS of these things in displays exactly like you see them displayed in shops! If you like Funko POPs, then you carry on liking them, and I’m glad to see people enjoy something that I don’t, the world would be very boring if that was the way of things. But yeah, Funko POPs are a real enigma!
