I have recently been diagnosed with primary hyperaldosteronism based on ratio test and waiting now for confirmatory followup testing thanks to this information I hope they just confirm and get on with treament.My potassium has been mostly at or below chart range for years, hypertension diagnosed 1990 ,LVH with 40%ejection ,78 years old could very possibly have been cured even 25 years ago, you have answered, questions I've had severe cough with ace inhibitors, salt sensitive hypertension so do not think those two tests are a particularly good idea but will discuss with doctor don't think surgery is good idea or that I would even be a good candidate damage is done but we will see in a few more months you never know.i do hope you are successful in simplifying testing and can get this information out to more primary practices, thanks again from an endocrinologist patient, and by the way I asked my primary care for a referral to be tested for PA.
