I have a Sunsynk (Deye) max 16 8:47 kW since May in the UK with 13kW panels. 60kW UFO batteries 🔋 been moist ever since charging my Tesla for free. The Sunsynk interface is amazing and can be programmed from your phone. I limited battery output to 100amps (5kW) and residual to make high loads can come from solar or grid or both at once, ie 3 inputs sources of energy which is crazy. Very impressed so far.

Love your approach to discussion about this new XP ... For a novice at all this ,,, FYI - I am not using any solar ... I am using GRID to XP (LOAD) to a Critical Load breaker panel to service a portion of my house. Question #1 - If I can feed 100 Amps from the Grid to this inverter, why can I only get 50 Amps out to the LOAD ? Question #2 - I see there is a SMART LOAD option but can I combine the regular LOAD with the SMART LOAD to generate a 100 Amp combination out to the Critical Loan panel ? Question #3 - If the XP has a 100 Amp bypass and I have limited the Critical Load panel to 50 Amps (assuming the batteries are full) where does the other 50 Amps of the 100 Amps go ?
@BeeneEnergy6 күн бұрын
Oh sure so the way that works is if the grid is up and the inverter is in bypass mode using grid to power the loads then up to 100a can flow through from the grid to the loads. If the grid is down then the inverter can supply 50 amps (12kw) to the loads. If the grid is up and the inverter is supplying loads via battery and solar but loads call for more than 12kw/50a the inverter should drop into bypass mode and pull all of the energy from the grid instead of the inverter going into overload and shutting off.

still a HF invertor, even though I have the 6000XP and use it for my mini splits, I wonder if it will last as long as my Victron 48v 3000 va lf invertor ""powers the house loads" I bought the 6000XP as it was too good of a deal to pass up.

In off grid mode you can run a generator as input to charge the batteries.
@BeeneEnergy22 күн бұрын
Oh yeah that’s how you free up the gen port for an ac coupled device or smart load right? And off grid mode prevents back feeding the generator through the grid port. So many settings to change, lol.
@SetitesTechAdventures23 күн бұрын
The spec I am excited for is that it says 24kW AC pass through. I just want an inverter that can pass through enough power to run the big stuff that's not good for solar. I have been hoping tona oud getting an 18kPV. Since I bought through a reseller they won't give me the trade in deals.
@BeeneEnergy23 күн бұрын
Yeah and the fact two of them are less than a single 18kpv but double the ac output is pretty slick. I want to see double 28kw solar arrays on a double 12000xp, lol. Thats a beefy system.

How are you liking it? I've seen it but haven't touched it. Any bugs you've had to deal with? Do you know if it's a rebadge of another brand or is it a Midnite original?
@jesusdominguez487415 күн бұрын
For the 12000xp, do you guys see any issues starting with just 1 eg4 wall mount battery and then picking up another one later on for the recommended 400ah battery
@BeeneEnergy15 күн бұрын
It won’t hurt anything but it could be a nuisance. I had a 5kw 48v inverter connected to a battery that was 95a output. A circular saw would use more than that at startup and trip the inverter/battery.
@PelicanIslandLabs21 күн бұрын
The 5 year warranty on this XP model is a show stopper IMO. The KPV's have a 10 year warranty.
@BeeneEnergy20 күн бұрын
Curious your thoughts on that. I think the grid the inverters have to be 10 years for financing and installers as they have minimums. I was looking at midnite and outback and it seems they are standard at 5 year. I mean don’t get me wrong 10 is better but maybe 5 is the industry standard for off grid.

Remove 2 panels and you have 1 string, insane pv , 38x 745w (warree?) panels to max out, or 56x 500w panels, 10k in panels on sale. 3kw+pv in heavy rain with dark clouds. This is going to fuel my solar addiction, Lux enablers.

@BeeneEnergy22 күн бұрын
5 years seems to be standard for off grid inverters. Midnite and Outback are the same.
@davefroman470023 күн бұрын
I'd say the most exciting thing about this unit is the 50 amp smart load. If off grid people realize just how much heat they can actually store up for the winter? These things are going to sell like hot cakes.

@Time-Trvlr22 күн бұрын
Exporting power, It is critical for the inverter to sequence the sinusoidal waveform with the grid. If it connects and is out of phase there is a short circuit up to the capacity of the inverter.

Grid providers do not have the time or manpower to investigate individual consumption idiosyncrasies. Your entire streets power consumption is completely with the utilities margin of error.
@BeeneEnergy15 күн бұрын
I have multiple stories of people getting a knock on the door from the utility due to odd power usage. One was using an eg4 off grid inverter and it was back feeding the grid occasionally and the other had gone off grid so their monthly consumption was zero and utility had to come by and check they hadn’t bypassed the meter. Two different utilities. So yes they find the time apparently.
