I think in the past you have had chineese sponsors, where in the video you admit to getting money from the company or you say your not getting money from a particular company so people might think that is still happening. Also it is extremely common for content creators to get money from companies and it is legal. I'm not making accusations I'm just saying people expect this kind of thing.

The people are kind and as helpful as they can be, but are very disorganized and not trained very well. None of that was a surprise because of the forums and reviews. I think they will catch up to their growth and do very well. Don’t listen to the rude comments. They are just mad because they will have to lower prices to compete. On another level, the Sol Ark has an incredible reputation and if money was no object, I wouldn’t be settling for mediocre service.

I love mine so far, installed it last week, really capable, but I’m still fiddling around with the settings because with grid connected, no matter which settings, it keeps going back to the grid multiple times, super annoying… Basically I want it to only tap into the grid if the battery gets too low only. I have everything setup including the wifi dongle and I'm waiting for their commissioning appointment to hopefully figure that out, right now I'm disconnected the grid. Yet, so far way better than the glitchy growatt 12k I had, and the fact that it takes up to 500V PV per MPPT, is just icing on the cake. Keep up the great content, you are very objective and picky enough for anyone to dare call you biased.

Hey Will. I really appreciate your time and hard work making these videos and testing equipment. The "keyboard warriors" are just fanboys of Solarc etc. If they work for Solarc then they are just angry because EG4 has shown that high quality units dont have to be as expensive and it's eating into the company profit margin. Or maybe they're angry because they paid so much for their unit and could have gotten one of the EG4s and saved a bunch of money... Being someone who don't have a lot of money to spend on sub par equipment or insanely expensive equipment, your channel is a tremendous help.

Thanks for reading my comment! I would ask as for someone that lives on The Big Island if you would possibly look into products that help those of us with AGM batteries. It is very difficult to get LiFePo's here. If you can get some shipped, it's insanely expensive. Most people here that are off-grid either use golf cart batteries or AGMs because of initial cost and because it's just expensive to live here. Recently I have been looking into a product called "Battery Life Saver". It is made by a company based in Florida. What's your thoughts on pulse desulfators for lead acid batteries?

I had it a year before I installed any of it. I don’t have it fully installed but I am having some of the same issues that some other KZbinrs are having. I have it off grid. I only have a 110v window 18k btu on L2 and some fans and lights to balance the load on L1. Over current faults when the compressor in the AC unit kicks in. It just can’t handle the amp spike as it is right now. Their tech support is great so far. Usually answers an email within an hour.

I just purchased this unit over the pair of the 6500s for my off-grid property. In order to do so and stay within my budget I settled for half of the battery capacity(For now). I can always add those later as funds permit. A big part of my decision is the simplified wiring and load balancing because it is all one unit. With the pair of 6500s I would have to ensure I spread the 120v loads evenly across the units while leaving enough headroom for things like a well pump and air conditioners. The extra surge capacity of this unit gives me more confidence. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this thing can do. Thank you for all the information and advice Will! :)

I don't know how much you have had to interact with Signature Solar warranty, but my experience with them has been exasperating. The end result was me dumping the EGU 18 PK for the Sol-ark 15. GFM

I'm currently using ~200kwh per month. I'm in a runaway camper. Not much space but it delivers 72°-75° with a 5K BTU AC. 16¢ kWh ~$30 a month. When I was in the house not uncommon to use 600+ kWh in the summer months and was still hot. Had to run AC x 2.

Don't worry about all that "you're a shill BS, Will. I watch and enjoy you specifically because you're so objective (and detailed). Idiots are everywhere, and generally ruin everything, but they won't ruin this channel

I have what I call a starter solar system. In late 2017 we installed 16 Jinko 325 watt panels and a Fronius string inverter. After two inverter failures and warranty replacements finally working properly, we added more panels for a total of 24, (7.8 KWh). Now the plan is to upgrade to a system capable of powering the ranch even if the grid fails. I’m curious about the advanced functions in hybrid inverters and this one in particular. I understand this one can inhibit back feeding the grid in case of a grid failure and it does not have to be separated with a manual or auto switch. While a great idea, I suspect my utility will require a separate manual lockout anyway. I eagerly await follow up videos on similar hardware.

This unit has me excited, it's either going to be my goto for full house system or SolArk is gonna have to start reducing pricing. Side note on the WiFi dongle, my Growatt inverter is terrible for this, the dongle seems to stay connected but the servers never seem to stay synced... But I plan to use Solar Assistant anyway so I don't have to rely on servers.

I've had that issue occasionally with the Growatt dongles during the little over 3 years I've had them, occasional drops that require you to either pull and reseat the dongle or power cycle the access point for that area or both. Looking at getting a solar assistant in the near future for more reliable readings. My Growatt's are using the non US server as when I set mine up it didn't exist, but otherwise the inverters have continued to be solid.

I love your content. The life is pouring out of your presentations. May God bless you man! On solar... I am building a house in south florida and planning to eventually install two of these as per EG4 manual. Question: Should I consider string optimizers?
