@Patrick-y4d1z9 ай бұрын
@@Dorgpoop Immigration is the fundamental cause of our declining birth rate. Population decline is slowed, yes, but birth rate is obliterated. Yes, Japan and South Korea have low migration and birth rate, as such their population will decline, that is literally what is supposed to happen. A population will naturally stabilise to its environment. It'll cause things like house prices to fall and earnings to rise, meaning that people will then be more likely to have children as they're more financially stable. Importing more people just pushes house prices higher and salaries lower, driving birth rate further down. It's trying to treat a sympton instead of the cause.

Misogyny is partly biological.. Firtmstly, the cost of reproduction is higher for women, to the point of possible death, so women have to be more choosy.. This creates a power imbalance between men and women.. Secondly, male hormones hijack the male brain as women were historically scarce.. So, men remember the child they were, then at the time their brain becomes obsessed with having sex with women is the same time women are denying them sex, so they conflate the two and believe women denying sex is the problem.. We need to start educating boys really early, to identify and control extremist misogynistic ideology..

Dr Lucky Sekhon, a reproductive endocrinologist, has a calculator on her website that uses to data to calculate your chance of a live birth from your age and the number of eggs frozen. From this, you can kind of infer how many eggs you need to freeze depending on your age at the time of retrieval - it’s really helpful for anyone considering this procedure.

The only useful information this video could provide is what are the claimed rates and what are the actual rates per age. At 5:25 she says you need 10 eggs at 34, which isn't that unfeasible if you're freezing at 34 or younger. It feels like the takeaway is less that egg freezing is a scam and more that you should do it in your late 20s.

What they don’t think about is what happens to the eggs they never use. I have friends who used in vitro fertilization. The doctors implanted 5 fertilized eggs, and then “removed” 4 of the eggs and put them into the medical waste stream. A couple years later, they had another 5 implanted and 4 removed. Now they have a couple dozen frozen eggs leftover and they don’t want any more children. It’s bad enough they scooped 8 fertilized eggs out and destroyed them, now they have all these eggs sitting there and they’re paying exorbitant storage fees. After their second child was born they started thinking about those 8 fertilized eggs that were terminated and they suddenly grew a conscious about what they were doing.
