Egg, Inc.: They Said I Would Love This Game, but...

Today, I'm reviewing Egg, Inc. - the mobile idle incremental game I've heard a lot of good things about but never had a chance to actually try. However, while this game is absolutely gorgeous in terms of art and extremely popular on both Google Play and the App Store, it didn't hook me as strongly as some other idle incremental games I've previously reviewed did.
In today's video I'm talking about Egg, Inc. and also contemplating on what makes an incremental game truly exceptional.
Still, Egg, Inc. is undoubtedly a great mobile idle game that you might want to try.

Good graphics are more important for a mobile game as the player base is much more casual. Browser based incrementals can appeal to a more hardcore audience who is more interested in the depth and complexity, and couldn’t care less about graphics. Just my thoughts on the subject. The lack of depth, I believe, is also simply Egg Inc being made for a more casual demographic.

That's true. But I imagine the game with the beautiful graphics like in Egg, Inc. and with the engaging and deep gameplay could have its place in the mobile market too.

As someone who has been playing this everyday for five months now, I have prestiged 20 times so far, and I am at the Dark Matter egg. This game does take time, yes, but the key to getting insane is constant prestige and Tachyon prism boosts, which is how I have over 5 billion soul eggs I support your video, and loved what you had to say.

i think you really missed the mark with this review. no talk about boosts, which are easily affordable without using real money. also epic research, no talk about artifact, or space ship missions. eggs of prophesy add a whole other layer of progression. the trophy system sets a third layer of goals, there is a co-op system with contracts. I feel like egg inc. has a lot more depth than this review goes into, but it's super slow. it's meant to be checked for 10-15 minutes every few hours, with a progression cycle of roughly a week.

I like exponential idle a lot, it's an idle game where the story is that you're finding an equation

Completely fair criticism. Later in the game, there are artifacts, but (from what I got so far) the effects don't seem to be too complex either. The "meta" becomes managing the boosts which become essentially free with how many golden eggs later rocket launches generate.

Honestly this is Roblox MMO RPGS VS Real ones Roblox MMO RPGS: take a quest (if it exists) kill x amount of things x amount of times, move to next area, buy new stuff, buy new pets (if the game is p2w), rinse and repeat, no story no nothing Real MMO RPG: Too complicated to explain cuz most of them let the player have his own end goal

I played for 8mouths and have imousths steak and say never buy piggy bank when this only 10k do it at 10M or more also in that 8mouths i got like 400k gold aggs form doing NOTHING :)

Yeah, it looks like this game's monetization strategy is quite liberal. It's far better than in many other mobile games. However, what bothers me the most is not in-app purchases, which is totally fine with me, but rather aggressive pushing of incentivised ads towards players every few minutes. But this is probably a topic for a separate video. I have what to say about it )

If you are still reading comments, I want to let you know that this game makes me very angry because it replaced a game series called "Zombie highway", which has 3 games. Unfortunately, the 3rd game has an online system that is required for progression, meaning you can't get the last few items in the game unless you grind for gold to get all of them. It was a very creative game, and it got replaced by an idle game. A game where the entire point is numbers going up. It's why I hate these games. Clicker games and Idle games. Why do these even exist? The entire point is to see numbers go up and at some points see numbers go up without you doing anything.

Egg inc is an amazing idel game but artifacts are completely pay to win, they suck up millions of golden eggs in seconds.

It really looks gorgeous and I agree that it is amazing, however, it is a little bit too simple for my liking.
