Honestly? I'm not surprised it so good right now. This is the culmination of years of worldbuilding and character building. He's got everything set up for pretty amazing stuff. So often in anime/manga We see great hooks and setups or cool concepts. But then they never play out and the story fails or has an unsatisfying finish. This is why Oda is who he is and one piece is where it's at. Happy to see it playing out!

I actually never noticed that Shanks targeted Damned Punk. That actually makes so much sense in how he one tapped Kid. Damned Punk packs a lot of heat, so when Shanks sliced through it all that energy exploded. Kid and Killer simultaneously got hit with Devine Departure and the blast from the explosion. How poetic that Damned Punk lead Kid to his greatest victory but also lead to his greatest defeat.

If you think about it it's actually crazy how the Germa66 and Blackbeard pirates invaded Wci at the same time, it looks like Oda distracted Katakuri with Germa66 so he wouldn't run into Aokiji, is Oda trying to tell use something here? Something like Aokiji can't Kidnap Pudding while the Charlotte goat is around? I guess we about to find out when Katakuri comes back, i think the next time we see him he'll be mad and blame himself for slacking, getting off guard by Caesar leading to Pudding being kidnapped by a third party, just like he blamed himself when Brulee was hurt because of him when he was a kid, i can see another character development.

Did you see what happended to Shiryu by Garp ? Only Aokiji is capable of keep up with him hand to hand. Katakuri would of got smoked, + the fact he has bad defense like if he takes 2-5 punch by Luffy back then he was done.

It was said during his flashback when he was trained by Garp how he had no talent and that the only way he could catch up with the others was by working harder, and I highly doubt Oda would ruin this by giving him Conqueror’s Haki, the highest form of talent anyone can possess in the world of One Piece

While watching this video I had a weird one piece theory that I just thought of what if the reason that shanks and garp don’t have devil fruits isn’t just because they don’t need it but it would actually weaken their haki and not only that what if when you eat a devil fruit you do not have full autonomy over yourself. As we know now that the theory of egghead is that devil fruits are created by peoples hopes and dreams and we know that the former users of devil fruits have some impact upon the next beholder of the devil fruit what of the will used to create the devil fruits actually conflict and suppress the will power of the user and in turn the haki or will power of that individual is harder to express and or use if you think about it all the strongest users of haki that we have seen in the series have been pretty against eating a devil fruit. If you look at shanks in the beginning of the series he said that part of the reason he didn’t eat it is because he wouldn’t be able to swim but that can’t be the only reason right and then look at the admirals garp never wanted to become an admiral because he never wanted to be controlled by the world government and if you look at it all admirals have a fruit that we assume they had before but could it be that when you become an admiral they give you a “divine” fruit from the “holy” land and they want you to think it makes you stronger but what if it actually weakens you what if emu knows that and gives all those who are under her devil fruits because she knows it makes them weaker and she could easily defeat them because she knows that their haki or will power could never be as strong as theirs because they have never consumed a devil fruit and just trained their haki to a level where no one with a devil fruit could reasonably defeat her??? i think that makes a lot of sense tbh especially the thing about imu and we have seen that devil fruit users have a significantly harder time controlling haki and i think that would also make for great stuff for luffy because despite being a devil fruit user his haki has always been super powerful because his will is just that strong. fits pretty perfectly within the narrative!

This is supposedly the "final saga/arc" in One Piece, so the author is trying to cram everything all at once. Its a double edge sword, while its great for more explosive and wider scale ending, it could really go bad really fast especially with Oda's using so many fake out deaths in this story. Maybe he will kill major characters this time since it is the final arc which will redeem the storytelling aspect a little bit but it is too late lol.
