Hello Namrata, thanks for your interest in this recipe! You may use regular Butter as well. Make sure you add some Salt to the pastry and a pinch to the date paste as well :)

I put the mixture in the fridge for a while and it wasn't so sticky. I also rubbed a little butter on my hands while handling it and rolled it out on baking/ parchment paper
