I have to tell you I am 68 years old and this brought back so many memories of my childhood. The fudge recipe is the one my mother always made, and when you talked about Mr. Brown getting to clean the fudge out of the pan as a treat, it took me back. As a child, my mother always let my sister and I lick the spoon and scrape all of the fudge out of the pan and eat it. A memory I hadn't thought about for such a long time. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and all of your family.

67 here, same thoughts! ❤️ Trying to scrape enough fudge left hardened to the sides of the pan after Mom emptied it. I can still taste it!

Same! I am a little younger, but definitely stirred old memories of licking the spoon!😋My younger sister and I got the spoon, my older 3 siblings got the pot. Oh the sweet memory….. making sure she only licked her side of the spoon!!!

@@Akforgetmenot licked her side of the spoon made me smile. I had a younger sister. I licked first, but she got the rest. Same with soda mom always gave us a little from her bottle. One sip , but Rene got the rest. She is gone now. Thank you for the memories.

That photo of Woolworth's reminded me of when we were kids eating in the diner part. I always had grilled cheese sandwich, fries, soda, and hot fudge sundae. As teens we still loved eating there and would spend our allowance on the new 45 record out, and make up. Oh, and teen magazines, loved David Cassidy. lol

I love your intro pictures. 😍 the pie looks so yummy! My Dad worked second shift and we made home made eggnog every night for him. No rum just eggs, cream, nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon. He loved it. .me.. not so much!! Lol great memories! Old fashioned fudge is the best. I just got a compliment on fantasy fudge, I gave all my grands and great grands and daughter and son in law a goodie tin. The weather is very dangerous so gave to them all yesterday. So glad they love it. That fudge looks amazing! Thank you! Wishing you and Mr. Brown a wonderful, blessed Christmas. God bless you and yours❤🙏🙏❤

My grandma used to make a similar punch for Christmas and she would have a plastic jello mold in her freezer with leftover fruit juices she had accumulated over the last few months from using different canned fruit and jars of cherries. She would make the punch then put the frozen ring of fruit juice in it to float and chill the punch. Then as it melted it would add to the punch’s flavor

You could pour the punch into the ice cube tray and freeze (with out the soda in it} it too. No diluting your punch that way. I do like your frozen fruit idea as well. Pretty. Really love listening to you Ms. Lori......So peaceful. Thank You so much for all you do.

First, I plan on adding these recipes to my recipe box... They look delicious! I also watched your video on Loretta Lynn's peanut butter fudge and I've got to try that one out too! I searched your videos for some divinity candy like my grandma use to make. She would make all of our families large christmas candy plates and they were truly the best gift of all. I really, really miss her and the candy.... chocolate covered cherries, cherry mash, peanut clusters, turtles, all different kinds of fudge. She'd make a pecan log roll, peanut butter bon bons, there was even a coconut bon bon she would make. I really don't know how she did it all... except I do believe she froze some of it. I remember when I would spend the night with her and grandpa, she'd get up early in the morning and make us a homemade pie with the most perfect toasted meringue. It'd be set up by lunchtime. Chocolate, coconut cream, banana cream, etc. and she would use the cocoa too..... I'm sure just like her mother made. These gifts were priceless to me. I am now 55 years old and aside from maybe forgetting a couple of the candies she had made for the tray, it is one of the biggest Christmas memories my cousins and I still have today. If I overlooked a recipe for divinity, would you please point me in the right direction for it and if I didn't, would you happen to have a good one to share? Thank you so much for all you guys do. Merry Christmas!

I have had non alcoholic egg nog once in my entire life when I was a teen & I didn't care for it. But I know our taste buds change as the years go by so I'd like to try it again soon. That pie looked really good! The punch is something I would love to make and drink all through the year. In our family we have what is called a wedding punch that has most of these ingredients in it plus some sherbet. I think your punch recipe looks so delicious! I will be making this recipe soon! My favorite recipe here is your recipe for the fudge! I love me some old fashioned fudge. I'm picky about my fudge so it has to be the right texture and taste for me to really like it and your recipe looks exactly the way I love it! I am so happy you shared this recipe with us! I want to make it but without the nuts. I don't care for nuts in my fudge. I'm excited about making this fudge very soon! Merry Christmas Ms Lori and Mr. Brown from my family to yours! Have a very blessed Christmas and hope your going to get to spend it with your kids and grandkids too! So happy I found you! I enjoy your channel so much! Love to you all! 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄🌲🦌☃️⛄💜

Thank you for this recipe! I made it for Christmas Dinner and it was a big hit. Learned a couple things with this recipe. When I went to my local store to get eggnog, they didn't have any so I had to find a recipe and make it from scratch, and then the whipped cream, which I haven't made for many years. It was well worth the effort. Thank you, Miss Lori. I have made several of your recipes and everyone of them has been delicious!

Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏, I love re-watching them , all the wonderful recipes, just the calming voices from both Mrs.lori & Mr. Brown , I'm so tired of this horrible heat this summer here in Texas , since May 2023 we have been getting triple digits 110-114 not including the heat index , Our poor garden plots took a hit , except for some my husband put shade cloth over , So we really are looking forward to even the 80's . But the cooler weather can't come soon enough , I just love listening to Mrs.lori , when I'm doing chores or even working on my computer, I have their older content keeping me company . I will be 58 in a few weeks and my health isn't good to be out in that heat . So listening to them brings joy to my heart . God bless you 🙏 ❤ Mrs josette Tharp Montgomery County, Texas ❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
