Nice numbers! I know every dyno is different. I recently had my '88 GT with a HCI swap, dyno tuned and it made 320 hp & 332 tq through the stock AOD and converter on a Dynojet.

I know I'm a little late to the party with this comment, but enjoying your content. I found your channel looking for Cam recommendations for an NA Mach1. I've got an '03 Azure Blue Auto Mach, so far have done a K&N, a set of 4.10's, dropped with an Eibach Pro-kit, and have an email tune from American Muscle that woke it up pretty good. I also added a set of 01 Cobra Five Spoke Rims for a little extra width and have Nitto 305's in the back. Bone stock 18 years ago my Father In-law ran it, he bought the car new in '03, and up at a decent elevation here in Edmonton he ran a 14.34, last summer with the changes I made I ran a 13.32. I would love to dip deep into the 12's, and staying NA, I think Cams, headers, throttle body etc...are the way to go. After having the 106400 cams for some time now, any regrets? Would you go bigger, go smaller? Cheers!

@@johnnykipp8662 This is an old video and the motor is now built.. Before then we had broken a timing chain sprocket/gear and did have bent valves which led to contact to the piston. Very minor to no damage to the pistons though. We have videos posted of the whole process on the channel. -Dylan 👍🏼

On a Mustang dyno, I think you guys did great. A plenum spacer and ported heads are all that’s left before you go 5.3 modular stroker from FRPP. I had an Azure manual with no cats, x pipe, Magnaflows, CnL intake, aluminum driveshaft and flywheel, clutch and some suspension, made 310 and 325 on a Dynojet dyno with stock 3.55’s, then I did 4.10’s. Car was a ripper with NT555r’s.

SiriusC1024 I took the set out of my 11 Crown Victoria and I have indeed ported them myself just a little bit of touch up to go in the exhaust ports to smooth it out I have bronze guides and viton seals on the way they will be at the machine shop shortly

@@crownvictorialifestyle4421 Why do you need bronze guides? That's for pushrods with high lift cams or long ratio rockers. The way the valvetrain is setup on the 3V there isn't much lateral movement of the follower. The OEM's will last longer, too.

SiriusC1024 well crown Victorias never came with 3v they are all 2v heads I also have a high lift custom cam reving up to 6500 rpm my cam has .575int lift 550exh lift 230+ duration @.50 on the int&exh 110 lsa so I must set this up correctly in order to avoid any issues Getting these type of Parts gives me the chance to have a reliable machine shop have a Foundation to build something proper that will function without any issues The stock ones are okay for something less mild than what I'm doing

wow oh wow great car nice sound well executed mods seriously very nice. Cams and headers add biiiig HP. My 2009 GT500 with long tubes and supporting exhaust cai TB pulleys and tune was 565hp and 540lb/ft, I miss that car am considering Mach 1 now!!

I have an 03 mach 1 cammed, long tubes, xpipe, 3.73, throttle body, cold air. Also have a short runner intake almost ready to go on but will be a while. I'm currently on an email tune and have not been on a Dyno. Your car is sick. Hope mine puts up those numbers.

I have stage 3 Comp cams 106300 and made 372Hp 343Trq @ 6400 on +90 Deg Day. At 6900rpms it made 383Hp (which is what I shift at also). I also put in Ford Racing billet oil pump gear. I have very similar mods as this car in vid: Comp Xtreme Cams: 226/224 @.050 - .475/.450-114LSA, Granatelli CoPsJLT CAI w/RamAir & Accufab Twin 60mm TB, PHP Intake Spacer, ProM85mm MAFBorla ATAK, Bassani Cat-X & Mid-Len Hdrs, EBC Brakes, 39lb FR InjFRPP Alum Drvshft, MGW, SPEC II Clutch & Fidanza Alum FW, UPR Tube-KFRPP 4.10 Gears, 31 Spl. Moser Axles, Brng Suprt & NT05Rs. Stda Springs &C/C Plates, Stda Adj.UCA/LCA, Stda Undrdrv Pulleys. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJyXfaWuo8ZjZ6s Since this vid attached, I now put in 39lb injectors and ProM85mm MAF. I got a 98 cobra hoping with some coyote rods, light porting, these cams, and all bolt ons I can get 380-390whp. I think if I can rev out to 7000-7100 I can hit that 390 mark. Instead of reusing stock pistons maybe I should look into bumping the compression so I can run E85? Already have all the parts.

THE REDLINE RIOT Well, the car gets taken to meets and once we turn the key we get attention from the cams. There is a bigger following for the SVT Cobra compared to the mach but I’m sure you can make your Mach 1 stand out.

You definitely get attention and turn heads! I own a Dark Shadow Grey '04 Mach 1 and people walk up to me everyday asking about the car. Of course you could do some light cosmetic mods like wider wheels/tires, smoked head/taillights, shorty antenna, lowering springs, window tint, etc. to make it stand out even more. My Borla Stingers catback also turns a lot of heads (including cops...lol)! They have very deep burble at idle and cruising speeds, and sound very mean at wide open throttle without being obnoxiously loud like some other aftermarket catbacks.

I have a 5 speed 04 Mach 1 and I ran a 13.2 with just kooks long tube headers and kooks x pipe and 3.73s i want the 106400 cams do i just get the beehive springs and retainers with 39lbs injectors etc or do I need more to avoid what happened to your Mach when it skipped a tooth and bent valves

What happened with the valves was unrelated to the supporting mods. From what I remember, it was caused by a cam bolt being loose. All you would need are the springs, retainers, and a bigger injector.

I am in the process of building my Mach 1, Going Crower Stage 3, Full port and polish on a new set of castings and thats all I can say for now, I will video it all and expect next spring some Numbers on a Dyno. I am in Canada BTW. My goal is 500hp NA. So should be over 425 on a Mustang roller. Not exactly sure how I will acheive that NA as where you guys are is close to what I have seen too so 450 engine. It will be the intake manifold that will make the difference.

I’ve owned and been into the 03/04 Mach’s since the beginning and have to say for NA hp, yours is the highest I’ve seen. There was an AB Mach that ran at my local track years ago that was NA every Bolt on and slicks that would run 11.1. Car had serious weight reduction too. Owner never said his rwhp but said it wasn’t that crazy? Mach 1 Registry has the #s on their 1/4 mile list (03Aviator) Do you plan to take yours to the dragstrip in the future? Be cool to see what it’s capable of especially w/ E85 (wish it more available in MA)

I saw one with Bolt on and tune go mid low 12 back when new on dr. Anyway thought it was good right then bc faster than stock termi. I’m sure the Mach had gears but still. There was a termi vert going 13.2 same evening. Probably normal but was loud.

Curious. Why stop the dyno at 6400rpms. Cams will still continue to make power now after 6400rpms. My tuner lets it rip to 6800 with my comp cams but i did do billet oil pump gears when I did the cams.

The tuner picked up on the fuel pump going out so he didnt want to risk reving it out all the way. It was put in after the dyno.

I think I've heard that the factory intake manifold just stops making power above 6500rpms, it's a great mid range intake but lacks hi rpm flow

Have you had any issues with the mach 1 regarding the cams? American Muscle has a YT vid on their site for those cams that states they are for supercharger or nitros applications only. Otherwise you'll have issues. I noticed your check engine light on.

No these are 106400 comps, NA cams. The car had not been tuned at that time so thats why the lights were on.

Kooks long-tube headers, Kooks x-pipe mid-pipe, and…? Reason I’m asking is because I’m looking at buying an 03 Mach 1. I use to have an 03, red. Never did the headers. Only did a SLP catted x-pipe mid-pipe and SLP LoudMouth cat-back. Was loud, but not like yours man. Urs sound sick with all that Kooks. Would love to know what u did for the cat-back setup.

Full bolt on and tuned 2v are only dynoing 260 at the wheel. It takes a hot tune with full bolt ons to reach 270 wheel amd . 305fpt

Eric S he found that the fuel pump was bad and didnt want to push it that high. It was changed out later that week. We didnt really care about getting re dyno. Cause the tune didnt need adjusting.

The cams. Stock cams from the factory are designed for balance of torque and hp, whereas aftermarket are trying to get more power, and will sacrifice some torque.

The crank on the mach1 is the same as the 03-04. Eaton supercharged cobra so the bottom end he has no need to worry as well as the same heads. The only exception is the pistons and rods those are the weakest part of the motor. Great motor tho. Also the cobra. Has an iron block vs the mach has aluminum but you can get 400 500 out of a mach block done right thays my goal i got a 04 azure blue mach1 and shes a prittaayy lil thang 😆 😆

EG Performance that’s is very impressive especially on a mustang dyno. I have 2003 mach1 with Ford Racing Aluminator motor with full length headers, CAI, intake spacer, catted xpipe, aluminum shaft and flywheel, steeda under drive pulley and billet specialty racing wheels and 345 is best number I got. So with 68mm throttle body and a cam, my car should be making near 400 to the wheels I’m guessing. I have 150 nitrous on mine right now. If you click my name, you can see my mach1 walkaround. With NA power it's all about that $/HP ratio most dont want to spend that amount of money to get what can be done with even 8 PSI of boost

I would say going boosted the right way would be more expensive. I’m talking forging internals and getting your turbo/supercharger.

@@EGPerformance Don't get me wrong, I like NA cars. I think they are more responsive. a centrifugal super charger (paxton, vortech, procharger) at 8 psi will give you around 427 rwhp for between $3500 and $6500 general consensus is stock internals should be able to handle that. The 5 speed came with a forged crank. Forged manley H connecting rods and pistons can be had for an extra 1200-1300 if you wanted even more boost. Boost has a higher initial investment but after that power is easy to make. NA maybe cheaper initially but after a certain point you start to see diminishing return for the amount of money per HP you get. Still a nice build.

The machs only come with a forged crank. The rods arent forged your thinking about the cobras.

The same rods in the 2v engine are what the mach has and cannot handle boost very well.

my 01 cobras. forged internals. racing bearings+timing kit. Racing everything...etc probably 15k into it. but I have a Howard 276414-14 cams. stage 1 ported upper+lower intake. Even the small parts like. Underdrive pullys+ lightweight power steering pulleys. Hoping to make 400WHP. I've got about every bolt on there is.

You ain’t got a vlog and shit lol..I’d love to see your how your car runs..I was gonna go n/a on my 96 cobra and aim for around the same power but it added up real high and real quick so I’m just going to go with a simple pistons,rods,and turbo kit and aim for 800+whp
