Hallo aus Deutschland. Vielen Dank für die tolle Anleitung. Ohne diese hätte ich nur das "Ventil" gereinigt und den Mechanismus nicht. Erst als ich den Mechanismus unter der Schutzkappe gereinigt hatte ging das Ventil wieder ganz leicht auf uns zu. Vorher ging es nicht mehr richtig zu. Klasse Anleitung!!!😀

Great video,but normally it takes one hour to remove the valve My 200 cdi had more than 300.000 km and I think it was never removed

Thattt has to be the cleanest EGR valve I have seen ... No need to remove this it's probably only done 10,000 miles!

Hello, What you want to check? Easiest If you wanna see the valve working just pop up the plastic cover and start the engine, and you can see the valve moving or not.

Hi, I make maintenance cleaning once a year. Avoid future problem.

I did it to my Mercedes’ that couldn’t pass the smog check for problems with the catalytic code p0420 I cleaned the valve internally It was full of carbon also I added it a CRC brand carburetor and intake cleaner to the opening where the EGR valve is installed let it soak for 30 minutes then I turned on the engine rev about 5 times and guest what : a lot a lot of carbon came off then I reassemble the valve and the check engine turned off by itself car runs super smooth finally I passed the smog check. Note: I did it twice because I have 2 EGR valves in my Mercedes’. The EGR valve is easy to tested if it good or not using a vacuum gauge that you can rent it in any auto parts

Hi, heat up the engine, use hand glove and try turn the egr left and right.

Mine is Stuck but moved slightly to the left when I gave it a knock , will try again with some more effort , put a sling round it and prise it up to release it.

Loosen the bolts a few turns and hit the gas, it will pop out eventually 👍

@@ScreaminOwl Didn't work had to chisel it until it stated turning and had to keep hitting it back and forth until it eventually came loose. Had to get a new one.

Keep the bolts connected slightly, before removing turn engine and and give some revs will release the pressure then. This is what I did first time and worked.
