I love Egyptian Geese! I know some of them and they are some of my best friends! They're exciting to have around you, they're so fascinating! Very intelligent and very social, also beautiful and wonderful birds! I can even approach their goslings, because the geese and me gained trust to each other! I can handfeed them wheat corn, as well!

Oh my gosh Udo, I am IN LOVE with this beautiful video! I have always been fascinated by the Egyptian Goose but have never seen their babies or a family of this species. I loved watching the little ones stretch and when mom got up my goodness what a wonderful surprise to see so many little ones. I wish mom and dad much success with their little ones, this was an absolutely treat! I hope you have been well my friend and I wish you a lovely week.

I saw the mother and knew see had the goslings under her wings, so I was waiting on my knees for maybe half an hour to get the moment she would be getting up.

They are considered an invasive species here in the USA. Wife and I saw a pair at a local park near Asheville in western North Carolina in November. Not supposed to be this far north.

Hello Birdfun. Thank you for this nice video. Actually, Egyptian geese are also part of daily life here in London, too. Speaking of which, this is the period of goslings (as well as Canada geese, Greylags and other species). We have seen a little family with 6 goslings which then became 4 and then 3. Sad 🥺. There are seagulls and herons around. There would be a question regarding the behaviour of the parents. I was used to think that like most goose species, once a couple was formed it was for life and both parents were caring for the little birds. Since less than 4 days, it seems that the actual father has probably lost a battle against another male, for which : - he looked depressed, - the mother had a cry different from usual, - he was still protective to the goslings even if the new male didn't want him around, - the mother seemed to prefer the other male to the father, - the male sent the goslings away and worst of all, the mother does not look very caring to the goslings. Is that possible that the mother is no longer interested in the real father and even no longer interested in breeding her own sons? Hope the actual father will send away the other male with clear message to never come back.
