EICMA 2024: How to visit EICMA

I went for a same day return with the train from Zurich back in 2017. I found the metro rather shady. And I still remember the very long walk between the metro and the Eicma entrance. If I’d go again I would like to take the car, but I guess parking will be impossible.

I've spent quite a lot of time on the Swiss public transport and that makes perfect sense. I've also spent even more time on the Tube in London and the NY Metro, and by comparison the Milan Metro is quite tidy! It's all relative I suppose. There must be parking at Fiera Milano Rho I've just never tried. I did look up parking passes on the ticketing site and they only have zero cost weekend passes showing. Perhaps it's free!?

Have you been following the channel long? RE and Hero were two of the most popular videos from last year, and my focus is very much on the smaller displacement bikes as that's a gap that others don't cover. My own bikes also reflect that and I now only have two bikes over 800 cc, and seven under 650cc's. India is a big market for views, but it's also a very closed market and while there is interest in RE and Hero, there's not much interest in other models as few get exported due to the significant tariffs. It's also a low revenue market so from a financial standpoint, the rpm (revenue per mille/thousand views) for India can be as low as 1/20th that of Europe and other countries, so to receive the same income, 20x the number of views are needed. The other challenge is that many bikes for the India market don't make it outside of India, so it's a very closed audience. I'll keep doing what I do and will of course take your comments on board, but it's more of an India-Tip than a pro-tip, at least in my experience.

And there was me thinking I was a tourist! 🤣. I do need to get better at walking and talking though. And if I am going to come to Milan each year, I quite having a day off to do "normal" stuff before running round the show and sitting at a laptop. Today (Monday) I'm doing my day job from the hotel so it is a laptop day, but at least it helps to pay for the trip. If I finish the last video early enough on Friday I'm going to go back to the galleria and walk the roof. Maybe record 'My favourite bikes from EICMA' up there or something. Then I have to get to the airport for an early flight home, and I think I need to fit in a podcast recording before then. Busy times.

Informative video, pretty much how I’ve planned and visited the EMCIA show previously and it works. Please don’t be afraid to add this to your calendar. Plenty of quality accommodation in Milan, public transport is absolutely excellent, lots of very high end shops to keep your wife occupied (make sure you have a fat wallet) As Andre says, It is tough on your feet so make provision

How to make people love Eicher Motors who sell Royal Enfield Motorcycles so much for why not Eicher Motorcycles and Scooters to change the world of interesting Motorcycling.

Do you why the RE brand rather than the EIcher motors brand? If so, I'm sure there's a reason, separation from their other vehicles? Many other manufacturers do the same. Audi, VW, Skoda and Ducati are all the same company, but sold under different brands, so why not Eicher/RE when that's proving successful?
