Einhell, was well known for its lower end / budget tools. A made in China tool with a sticker slapped on the side of it. Are are you still better off buying a more premium tool from one of the well known brands at almost double the price?
In recent years Einhell invested heavily in the "Power X Change" lineup of 18 Volt cordless tools, which consists of over 200 tools nowadays. In this video we are taking the Einhell TE-CI 18 Li Brushless Impact Driver to bits to see if it's any good.

Upgraded from an older 18v kit. kzbin.infoUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.

I more or less only by Einhell now and I'm in that battery eco-system now, for better or worse..... I can afford De Walt, etc... I used to be a Bosch Blue man... I'm not a professional but I'm a serious handyman... I'm renovating a ruin in central Portugal and we own a small farm... my tools get used and, while I'm one for cleaning tools and taking care of them, my tools look old inside a few months... I've never had any Einhell tools fail me... TBF, I've never had Bosch Blue, or Bosch Green fail me for that matter... Let's see how it's all going in a few years??

I just recently fell into some hard financial times and had to sell pretty much all of my DeWalt tools. Been looking around for a decent brand to start replacing them. From what I see this brand doesn't look too bad. It may be a contender👍

Good luck brother. I hope everything worked out... hate to hear of a man having to sell his tools. Einhell is a good choice... I can't see myself buying anything else from De Walt/Bosch Blue unless it's very heavy... another brand I've given a go, and liked, is Vevor.

It's sad you had to sell your tools you've taken a while to collect. I've had to do that a few times due to a lack of money but sometimes it happens I guess, I've never had to do anything as big as that though so i hope Einhell is comparable. I'm also looking at Einhell for my friend he is finding money to be a bit tight but we still want a reasonable cordless tool system for him. I have Makita but I find them so expensive I can barely afford them but I have always had Makita in the family but for 1 Makita you can get like 2 Einhell tools. My other mate has Keilder and they are good but we have had problems with the fit and finish and the tool selection is really small. We liked Bosch to some extent but some of their stuff is also stupidly expensive, the tools aren't the quality they used to be and a lot of marketing around their batteries which aren't really better than the other big name brands. I've been looking into Ryobi, Einhell, Parkside and Ferrex tools. So far not impressed with the parkside I feel they are trying to look like something they aren't and they are really noisy, einhell seem to be more honest and look "cheaper" but aren't trying to make them look like a pro tool or a DIY tool only. Ferrex looks a lot the same but are really really cheap and Ryobi I hate the look of but seem to get good reviews. Have you gotten any Einhell tools since you sold your DeWalt and are they decent?

@@calumward1192 I mainly buy blue Bosch or Makita, but recently i got some Einhell tools and I'm impressed. They work really well. I have some Parkside tools as well and they seem a bit lower quality than Einhell. Only thing i don't really like is size of batteries. They are much bigger than Bosch or Makita, however they use 20700 cells instead of 18650 which means they can handle a bit more current. Chargers are good, 3A ones are cheap and they have pretty good indicators. I really like the fact that you can buy 3Ah starter kit (battery + charger) for same price as just charger from Bosch or Makita. I also have some garden tools from Einhell, i got them recently so i don't know how they handle over time.

From textiles to Rockets, China makes them all. "Made in China " really can not be a term to mean poor products. But budget can. If a company paid low for lower quality, they do it. If paid more, higher quality. Even Apple iPhones are being made in China, partially.

The pull to remove bit ends is disgned because if it were a push system, then the bit may auto eject when driving into materials if it makes contact with the material. This would be very annoying
@kennethstephens8046

Milwaukee, ridgid, dewalt, and I’m sure others all have push in and ejecting 1/4 impact drives. I’ve never had an occurrence like what you describe happen with my Milwaukee or ridgids. You’d have to have something come from behind and snag because you have to pull on the collar to get the bit to release. Highly unlikely

I have slowly acquired a lot of Ozito (Einhell’s name in Australia) tools. I have never had one fail on me, unlike a number of premium brands I have owned, and have only been disappointed once. The pruning saw is underpowered but every other tool has held its own and some have exceeded expectations.

The big problem with brushless tools is their very complex and delicate control electronics. They cannot be repaired and the entire circuit must be replaced. Brushed motor tools are extremely robust and their 4-pole versions are very powerful, which is why they still exist. many dewalt xrp series tools 15 or 20 years old working today.

My 50 dollar Ozito impact driver performed truly above my expectations . The nearest impact driver is at least 2-3 times the price . Decking screws and hex screws going into hardwood with no issues . I have upgraded to AEG now which obviously has more power , but my AEG has a slightly loose battery housing . The Ozito battery housing is rock solid.

@@toolteardown Thanks for the quick and fast response. It is enough for me to see what's inside the battery. They used same board for 4.0Ah and 2.0Ah battery. That's what I was trying to learn. On the other hand, will recording the battery teardown help to increase subs and view? I think it won't help you to get subs but only views.

is this a reluctance motor, cause of the steal sheets in the rotor?

No, those are the permanent magnets, which are visible in the rotor assembly. It’s a fairly straightforward simple brushless motor design.

@lukaspfitscher8737 2 жыл бұрын
@@toolteardown No it is hehe A type of motor that has a rotor embedded with permanent magnets is called the IPM (interior permanent magnet) type. Compared with the SPM (surface permanent magnet), this type of motor can reduce the risk of a magnet being peeled off by centrifugal force, and take advantage of reluctance torque.
