What I like most about Your advice is when you “modernize” the ancient concepts of Stoicism. You demonstrate how these concepts are relevant to modern times.

As an atheist, stoicism will do you no good. Nor will anything else. You really should delve into quantum physics. We now know that the mind does not live in the brain, but in a completely different dimension, and only uses the brain to function in this dimension. We also now know that everything really is controlled by frequencies, and if you don't understand what this means, it means that God is now not only plausible, but probable, just as knowing the mind exists in another dimension makes the likelihood of life after death no longer a fantasy. Atheism is nothing more than an arrogant conceit, and the exact opposite of what stoicism teaches.

A good way to meditate is a long walk. I walk every Saturday for 3 hours, a habit I started 5 years ago, after my fiance left me. I would go out extremely anxious and sad, wanting to die. But at the end of the walk I was already with my mind lost in happier thoughts. I started to walk almost everyday to relieve anxiety, which was good for my health. I still do it, as I will do it today. Instead of walking one can also ride a bike, if the objective is to silence negative thoughts, because riding a bike is so tiresome that one cannot even think while doing it. But probably a sad person is better off walking than exercising heavily.

I think people find it so hard to make friends in today's world because they find it too difficult to ask people for help. Like was mentioned in the video, true friends assist you in attaining happiness and fulfillment. But how can you ever find someone to assist you if you're unwilling to ask people for help? We live is a world of self-help. That's what we're all doing right now, by watching this video. Helping ourselves. And it is truly very important that we help ourselves, otherwise no one would ever want to help us in the first place. But, assuming you have already begun helping yourself, good people will see that, and when you ask good people for help, they will be more than willing to assist you in attaining your goals. The problem is life is much easier than it used to be. People used to have to ask for help just to survive the week without starving to death. Now, everyone can fend for themselves and no longer NEED good friends just to stay alive. You only really need friends nowadays if you want to be happy, hence why we collect social media friends and have surface level relationships with hundreds of people because really the only reason you're talking to them is to fulfill your basic social needs. Make friends with people that can actually help you achieve your goals. To do this, ask people who are knowledgeable about your goals for help. If they are helpful and are somebody you would like to be friends with, ask them for more help. Be helpful to them in return. If they really like you, you may find that they will be helping you and you will be helping them for the rest of your lives. That's true friendship.

I feel the value of the wine meaning is that maybe it relaxes your thoughts in general. Whether you were to slide in a frustrated thought or a happy one, the idea is that maybe your mind would ease into it rather than be persuaded into it forcefully by whatever thoughts/feelings you are holding onto at the time. I often feel sometimes I need to be frustrated about something but I don't want to force myself to be frustrated or happy about it, I want to flow into it. That way I know the feeling is at least genuine.

Be of service "The greatest good is like water. Which nourishes all things without trying to." (Chapter 8) "Giving birth and nourishing; Having without possessing; Acting with no expectation; Leading and not trying to control. This is the supreme virtue." (Chapter 10) 3. Choose your friends wisely 4. Don't engage in useless affairs "Can you coax your mind from its wandering, and keep to the original oneness?" (Chapter 10) "Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity." (Chapter 9) 5. Don't depend on opinions of others "Care about other peoples' approval, and you become their prisioner." (Chapter 9) 6. Balance solitude and being in crowds "Difficult and easy support each other. Long and short define each other. High and low depend on eachother. Before and after follow eachother." (Chapter 2) 7. These videos about philosophy and self improvement are very informative and helpful, but just listening to them alone is pointless, we must take action in order to see the desired results. Forgive yourself for failure, learn from it, and remember that the effort and thought matters as much as the results.
