it's great to see your appreciation for the hard work put into the videos, and that classic "the one that got away" moment always adds some fun! what's your favorite fishing story that you like to share?

Wow! Great catch guys! It was nice to see Matt so busy and even falling behind a bit with all those fish. That doesn't happen too often! Thanks for another great video guys.

That was a very nice set for the butts and cod. Too bad you didn’t include a short clip of what the bottom looked like on your structure scan. Depth, sand, mud, gravel? The aid of electronics always interests me. That certainly was a nice one that came unbuttoned on the rail. 😂Good job guys.

Great job guys. Beautiful string of fish! I was wondering if you guys ever eat any fish that you catch when overnight on the grounds, and if so, which do you prefer, Cod, Yellow Eye, Haddock or Rockfish??? Tight Lines!
@dukedog34232 ай бұрын
why are the cod mixed with the halibut for the weight in the offload net?
@EISAlaska2 ай бұрын
They dump the tote on a conveyor belt and sort them out for weights after.

why are you guys still using the little boat? Is it easier to maneuver when hauling the lines? Is it primarily for salmon fishing? Nice haul btw!

We'll continue using the Fish Tale going forward for a few fisheries. Some longlining, but also jigging.

Is there any market for Skate at all?
@EISAlaska2 ай бұрын
Not for a boat of our scale. If we caught 3000 lbs of halibut, we could only keep 150 lbs of skate, not worth the effort unfortunately. It would only be 2 or 3 skates.
@keithmclennan32752 ай бұрын
whats the weight of your biggest halibut you have caught together

"That's annoying", some boat captain apparently let the boat navigate without a captain. Maybe a new captain is in order and could think ahead to prevent that screw up.
