When I was like 9 yrs old I was fishing on my desert island in maine on a pier and hooked a sculpin at first glance I thought I had somehow hooked a seagull with there weird find sticking out lol I got a question for you do people eat sculpin ?

Those big cod look kinda like the big red drum we catch in florida. On the tv screen anyway. Yep eisalaska have subscribers from florida.

I find it interesting that in the Atlantic, Cod jigging by-catch is also sculpin, looking almost the same. We always took it as a sign that we need to go a bit deeper. We used to dub the first one to catch a Sculpin as "the Sculpin King". They wore that title for the rest of the day. It was not considered "honorific."

Loved our box of fish! We tried the rock fish filets last night and they were every bit as good as the awesome halibut!! We will never buy seafood any where else but with you guy’s!

EIS Alaska - years ago we used to fish Long Island, NY catching blowfish and flounder - double bangers. Then like you said, those dogfish sharks took over. We'd schwack them on the edge of the boat and throw them to the gulls. The birds got a bit too comfortable and impatient that they would try to take them when they were still on the line. Had a tug of war with one of them 🙄😳
