Another terrific fishing adventure guys! The best way to describe your family commercial fishing business is "harmony". You all work very hard, but compliment each other so well. I have been watching for many months and I've never heard anyone ask someone else to do anything...because you all truly work together and everyone knows what needs to happen/when in order to accomplish the tasks at hand (whether its fishing, gardening, or refurbishing or repairing or reconstructing your two boats...you all are like a well practiced team or a finely tuned machine. Your talents, skill sets and especially your family's close-knit relationship is inspirational. EIS is one of my favorite KZbin channels!

Nice to see your Mom on the boat. She sure was bundled up on this video. Tell T we said hi. Looks like it's getting cold. Here in the UP of Mich we're in the 10s overnight and in the low 20s to mid 30s in the daylight. Snow usually waits till the new year to blast up for a few months. Your short days are a killer. The long days of summer sure make up for it. Love visiting the mainland Alaska but after watching your videos, I feel I missed a beautiful part of it. Maybe next time.
@EISAlaska3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting, koslund! I'll tell him. Usually we don't get super cold here, being in the gulf whenever a southeast-southerly comes in it brings moisture so warms it up (also creates a big sloppy slushy mess). Hope you can make it backup someday!

Beautiful pile of nice fish. I'm feeling the need for some cod! Any frozen fish we get around here all list sodium tripolyphosphate as an ingredient so that the fillets soak up water like a sponge and weigh more. You have to squeeze it before cooking. Hope you ride out that storm Safely and remain Healthy! -Bob...

Will you be able to aquire a second (larger take) halibut permit for the Emerald Isle and still keep the existing halibut permit for the Fish Tale? Or will you just use the Fish Tale and the long-line gear to catch halibut?

Some 15 years ago we caught some cod in Ireland but the meat was full of nematodes. Do you have this problem in Alaska too?
