The first of Eivor's music I heard was Pálsdóttir Trøllabundin. It is great privilege to listen to this music.

the techinique she uses is called "kulning" and was used for example during sheep herding to call people or animals over a long distance

This song is like the perfect song. It’s got everything a perfect song should have. Incredible artistry. The perfect build up. The perfect tension between off tone guitar strings at the beginning leading to mystical minor power chords later... Her voice....the voice of a goddess...an instrument that clearly expresses her deepest emotions of longing, and upon finding her love, falling free into the wild abandon of love between her and another. It’s both tender and hard, atmospheric and raw, emotional and mystical...wonderful, beautiful and feminine. Eivor and her music are gifts, and through her music she makes the world a better place. Thanks for checking out her music. Another wonderful Eivor song is On My Way To Somewhere and also Mjorkaflar.

Eivor!! Just watched a streamed concert a couple of days ago. She is just fab!

When Eivor is singing with those bellowing folk vocalizations, it’s so powerful. Bjork used to do that early in her career too.

Omg!!! I stopped doing my work when I saw the notif popped up for this one! I remember recommending this to you not long ago and you're welcome! Looove Eivor and love your reaction! Aww...that's sweet that this song reminds you of your love to your hubby ❤ Definitely one of the most inspiring women out there being not only a phenomenal singer but also a badass multi-instrumentalist. Next from Eivor, I think you should check out Salt or Only Love which I recently did a pole dance routine to it on IG 🤭❤

An excellent choice, Tauri. She is absolutely magnificent. Thanks for showcasing her. She deserves every honoring attention. Speaking of more from her to react to, there are a lot of amazing performances spread over YT land. 'Salt Live @ the train warehouse Juke Train 218' or 'Tròdlabùndin - live on 10.08.13' would be some fine next steps. But I guess you get lots of other excellent suggestions as well.

It is crazy how she can modify her vocals so easily like it was nothing. And it sounds so lovely. Her Gibson Nighthawk is not exactly a guitar model that you see every day. If you want to hear something by MaYaN, try MaYaN - Power Process( official video) OR Saints Don´t Die (official video). The first one has only 3 vocalists and the other one has 5 vocalists. Not sure what you want to start with, to be honest. :-)

Well, if you like artist performing with emotion, you should definitely listen to a Norwegian singer Aurora. Start with her live performance of Murder song 5-4-3-2-1 at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2015. I'm sure you will want to hear more by her after that.

Beyond the Black - Hallelujah(Live), Songs of Love and Death(Live @Wacken2019), In The Shadows, A Million Lightyears. Dragonforce - Fury of the Storm(Live), Black Fire, Valley of the Damned(2003). Project Aegis - Angel In The Ashes(A fantastic array of amazing vocalists) Theocracy - Around the World and Back, Laying the Demon to Rest, Martyr. Would be awesome if you could get round to these.

Be very careful, when you're doing what you call, tribal singing, it's part of throat singing! You have to be VERY careful not damage your vocal chords! Bjørk did!!! Technique, learn, rinse and repeat don't try this at home, we are profs
