Greatness does not come easily to anyone; only the bold chase it. You (and every other Filipino athlete competing in other fields) represent everything good about us Filipinos. No matter how your campaign ends, we are honored and proud that you carry the Philippine flag.

True that! "Filipinos, we always put ourselves lower". This is very evident in any aspect. Like we idolize other nationalities and think of them as being better than us. We always make fun of ourselves and our own fellow countrymen. It's just sad how low we think of ourselves. I'm just very grateful that Ej, Carlos, Nesthy, Aira, Hidylyn, Carlo, Manny and all of our thousands athletes that are opening our eyes that we too, can prove to the world that we are not weak or to be underestimated by anyone. That with great support and proper trainings, etc. we can also do more and hopefully the government will see how we can achieve more things if they give us what we deserve and open more opportunities to not just athletes but in every facet of our community.

No matter what happens, athletes like you and everyone else in the Olympics right now are inspirations for the country. Na kaya din natin. Even against all odds. What more if we actually supported our athletes and improved our education system.

I've never been so proud of someone in my whole life, not even of myself. I've never been an athlete and I don't play any sports, but seeing a glimpse of EJ's hard work inspires me so much. I just want to say to you, EJ, that all of your sacrifices and hard work are not in vain. I'm saying this with all my heart, and believe it or not, "YOU ARE THE MEDAL OF THE PHILIPPINES." An athlete like you is our forever treasure. You make us proud not just with your achievements but with your passion and love for our country. You are the epitome and the backbone of the country's pole vaulting. You are phenomenal, extraordinary, and incredible as both as a person and an athlete. Seeing you rise above those bars every time is a win for every Filipino. Nobody does it like you do-you set the bar at its highest. Thank you so much, Coach Vitaly Petrov, and to all the people who have been with EJ from the beginning. All of your dedication and hard work are seen and deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking care of and helping EJ to fly high in pursuit of his dreams and goals. It might take a little while for the whole nation to discover how amazing pole vaulting is, but I know for sure that you've opened a lot of hearts supporting and loving pole vaulting-I know it because I'm one of them. To the Philippines and those in power, it's time for us to recognize and genuinely support our athletes. After all, medals can't come home without our athletes. They all deserve an early recognition!!! I'm sorry that you've been through so much, EJ. The world can wait. I hope you have a successful recovery from your surgeries. You deserve all the best things in the world! Whatever your decision is, we've got your back! I'm your #1 fan, EJ, and will continue to be! 🫡❤️🔥🇵🇭

To every athlete who qualified for the Olympics you gotta give them not just a standing ovation but the passion-determination alone deserves government reimbursements, continuous financial support and acknowledgent from start to finish. More so when athletes are indigents. Three of my children were swimmers. They won several gold, silver and bronze. It was taxing dahil weekend competetions you go to venues all over the Philippines. National level palang yan and then you go to SEA games. My husband and I were struggling financially. Hindi namin kinaya talaga coach fees, registrations fees, gears, travel, meals, hotels, etc. I felt bad for not being able to provide for my kid's dream to be Olympians kasi may posibilidad sana but money was an issue. Kaya you gotta give more credit to those kids who really tried hard. Yun mga coach na ipipila mga athletes nya para makakuha ng karampot na allowance. Bravo to parents who really worked hard for the Olympic dream, to communities who chipped in, to private sponsors who saw talent without any agenda...An athlete definitely have trodden ardorous roads before they became champions. They are heroes in their own right.

Caloy winning two golds is already incredible lol, but if EJ upsets Duplantis it will just be just added amazement and history. The degree of difficulty for me if he beats duplantis with his hype and how pole vault seems more European orientated. It will literally be an amazing upset and just adds more to this historic and legendary Olympics for the Philippines. But just getting a medal, like a silver is still really great. If he gets a medal, I believe Philippines will have most medals in single Olympics at 5.

@galerights89835 ай бұрын
I honestly really like it!! I don’t blame them for using that kind of medium. With the animation kasi, mas nakikita mo yung pag jump ni EJ sa pole, panel by panel, something na ‘di madaling mapansin tuwing actual video talaga.

Baka copyright stuff so they had to tweak it a little
@psalmyyvan5 ай бұрын
@@matthewona I know it's most likely a copyright issue bc of footage, pero my comment was supposedly to hint na mas okay na maghire ng legit artist. Lalo na 3M subs tong channel na to, I know they have a budget for it.
@psalmyyvan5 ай бұрын
@@galerights8983 I'm not against animation as a medium, pero very lazy nung pinadaan lang sa filter then wala nang extra edit. Di man lang ginawang rotoscope/tracing animation kahit 10 fps lang
@galerights89835 ай бұрын
@@psalmyyvan To be honest, I think yung goal nila rito is to imitate the exact pole vaulting, so using AI for this can present to be more efficient, less costly, and hindi na ha-harm yung integrity ng true artists, since nag iisang video clip ang reference/ probable prompt. Pero yes, maigi rin sana kung naghire sila ng artist.
