EK CIVIC GETS ROCKETBUNNY KIT

Knowing me, I can't be normal and just install wheels and a few small mods and call it a build, so I've gone to the extent of buying a Rocket Bunny kit from a 350z and started to cut and modify it to suit an EK Civic.

this is at least just impressing than other civic builds honestly cus it’s just impressing on how you are taking a 350z bodykit and then transplant it to the civic.. honestly fr fr don’t let someone stop you from this.. you might be the 1st one to make a 350z bodykit transplant to a civic. D and b series the camshaftassembly rockerazsembly gets loose over time and it's best to do a valve adjustment but people always do the procedure wrong The correct way for d series and b series is to Crank your crank pulley Counterclockwise only, There is 3 marks on the left of the Crank pulley/harmonic balancer That is for ignition timing, the 1 mark on the right is your top dead center, You want to line that up with the Timing refresh pointer on the timing cover and look if the camgear is facing up, then you want to unloosin the rocker assembly and tbh I'd clean out the threads, Honda makes mostly Aluminum Engines so the metal is soft, If there's any sludge or dirt in those threats it's very easy to strip any threads on the engine, The reason why you want to do this procedure because the torque spec it corresponds to the valve lashes clearance, the rocker assembly is 14ft pounds for the 12mm bolts and the 10mm Id recommend get just hand tight, After Retorque you can set your intake to 0.07 thousands of and inch and 0.09 for exhaust, and if your having trouble with the sequence of the rotating the engine 180 degrees put a stick in the spark plug tube and you'll know forsure when you the engine is at 180 degrees when the stick comes all the way up from the cylinder then you can adjust the valves, Interference Honda engines can last a very very long time, Problem is Timing, You need good ignition timing, valve lash timing, and TDC, It's also good to clean 02 and Pcv valve on these d and b series they'll run great after that and also Rod bearings is the failure to most of Honda engines Id replace just that, d series rod bearings you can pick up for 40$ it's just a piece of metal, I wouldn't worry about design of the bearing if you are just rebuilding a regular car and not a race car instead of rebuilding the whole motor, Oil rings last way longer then rod bearings even if you are burning oil it's okay man just not a crazy amount, Carbon actually gets built up in the rings and create a seal as far as alternator alternator can last forever the problem is that they build corrosion and sludge and bearing gets worn out and they go out because of a short on the electrical system if you clean all the corrosion and replace the bearing, and also Honda transmission can typically last forever too it just depends on the driver and how they drive the car people do not engage and disengage their clutch correctly or has issues with worn clutch or slave cylinder and when it doesn't engage properly you can chip the teeth off the gear, and also good ground to chassis to battery, Transmission to chassis, and valve cover to chassis, thermastat ground, Not having good ground can really mess up electrical system, most of the screws on the grounds are stripped due to age
