Remember boys and girls.......after doing any suspension work, ALWAYS get an alignment. 🙂

and with aftermarket coilovers get that alignment done at a shop that works on race car suspension just so they have corner scales so the car and be weight balanced

With so many straight line hero's chasing 1000+HP it's nice to see someone put in the time and make it handle and stop well.
@richardparnell84024 жыл бұрын
@What you Know I think you missed my point. How many people have over powered cars for there set up and can't stop or turn? I'm just saying it's nice to see someone put the time and make a car handle instead of going for big dyno numbers.
@garrettsmith82864 жыл бұрын
@What you Know Not everyone wants to race in a straight line. Maybe he doesn't even race. Maybe he race's canyon roads or on road coarse tracks in which a dialed in suspension will save you time. It's easy these days to have a high hp car & I think there are way too many of them with bad handling & crappy drivers.
@richardparnell84024 жыл бұрын
@What you Know I never said it would make a difference in a race, and I have no idea what his "old"set &up.was, all I said was it was nice to see someone put the time into making a car handle and stop instead of chasing big power.
@garrettsmith82864 жыл бұрын
@What you Know Dude you don't race on a closed road coarse. I live a mile away from a actual road coarse track and a setup suspension will shave a lot of time. Plus there are different classes that allow for different cars. So stop talking about shit "what you don't know". The OP was just pointing out the fact that he is setting up his car for handling rather than straight hp numbers to go fast in a straight line.
@garrettsmith82864 жыл бұрын
@What you Know Are you that dumb & illiterate? Read what I said again. Look up the words you don't understand on google or a dictionary and get back to me when you actually have a car you race on a road coarse in any class you want.

Very obvious, from my ongoing restoration of 4 EG Civics, that you know what you're doing and have put a lot of very hard and rewarding work into your car. You've got all the right aftermarket parts, including the prothane bushings, adjustable-camber upper control arms, new inner tie rods & bellows, etc, etc. I'd recommend spending the extra money in getting non-Phillips screw rotor retaining bots (available from Broward Bolt in North Ft. Lauderdale). Best of success in your future.

Had some inverted outer tierods on my EG/EH and it was absolutely terrifying. Found out though the reason it was so bad was that I wasn't low enough; 2" front and 1.5" rear. The inverted tierods are recommended for 3"-4" lower than stock minimum.

The HR upside down tie rods have a negative effect on you’re bumpsteer curve. On my own civic they drove me crazy.
@MichaelFlare5 жыл бұрын
I know! Someone in the comments asked me about it last night and I gave him a very long reply. Basically, my performance shop told me it's one of the worse bump steer he's ever seen. He tried to use different spacers and mount it differently but he said it was still bad. He told me to put back the OEM style tie rods back and that's exactly what I did and came back to him for alignment. My new video released this morning explained it.
@StonedStylezMilan5 жыл бұрын
Michael Flare I had exactly the same. I mounted the OEM tie rods. But after alignment the car still behaves strange to me.

@MichaelFlare4 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry for the super late reply, I must've skipped your comment months ago. Almost all of my suspension bolts were torqued to spec. I'm OCD so yeah. It doesn't really bother me if it's hand tightened by feel but since I have a good torque wrench, why not? It's not like I'll touch these bolts ever again in many years you know? Here is the links I used for most of my torque specs: honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/faq-b-series-torque-specs-953151/ www.nthefastlane.com/b-series-torque-specs www.torkspec.com/torkspecmm.aspx?KI=3 www.team-integra.net/threads/update-suspension-torque-specs.35789/ honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/torque-94-civic-inner-outer-tie-rods-2866447/
